Works for us. Easy setup picture quality isn’t great but it works well. Night vision and motion detection are decent quality. But I can record and I don’t have any subscription to pay for. It’s through my WiFi.

in case it helps anyone else:After several failed attempts I was finally able to connect this to a network. long short; my network name was too long.long:I've had many geeni products and have not had any issues.Decided to add some to a chicken coop. Due to distance I had to run thru a wifi repeater.The "look" camera and prisma plus 800 bulb connected without issue. the sentinel 1080 connected no problems as well but no matter how many tries the 720 would beep after qr scan but not connect.Running a speed test showed my repeater had slowed to .5 mbps.Started up a new repeater i had and speed was 15mpbs. With this router I shortened the network name from 12ish characters to 4.and this camera connected first try. My belief is that this router has older firmware that limits the characters of the network namehope this helps anyone that cannot get this to work

This is a great product and has great picture quality in lighted/non-lighted conditions. The ability to move this camera remotely is amazing. I planned on using this to watch the "Man Cave" when the kiddos are playing down near my expensive items. There is a small delay from your input to the device output. You can notice it when you move the camera and when using the 2 way radio. The 2 way radio is very loud but appropriate. I was upstairs from this device and could hear myself talking through the camera. The Geeni application is very easy to setup and use, I just don't want to be on my phone all the time to utilize it. Hence enabling the Geeni "skill" which allows integration with this vendors products but when you say "Alexa, show camera" the screen reads waiting on Geeni for 30 seconds, then times out with Alexa saying "Hmm, the device is not responding." This a real bummer for me but it was a mistake I personally made by not confirming it would work. Hope Geeni figures out how to allow this. I am very torn because the main reasons I purchased this device was for the remote view adjustment and to be managed by my Echo Show not my phone. I do like that I get alerts on my phone when motion is detected but viewing the camera was ultimately intended to be on the Echo while I am home. I really enjoy the product but its not compatible with my existing infrastructure so it may be going back.

Good camera, especially for the cost. If it’s still working in a year I’d say awesome camera. I sometimes wonder if the difference between these cheaper cameras and the nest and arlo types is the quality in how long it lasts, but time will tell.I use these cameras to monitor my cats in various rooms, and I use 3 of the 19$ 720p versions from wal mart and this one. This is the only one I have that moves.I can’t comment on motion detection and alerts because I don’t use those settings, I just want to check the cameras and see what they’re doing, and for that the basic functions work well and for me 720p is good enough. Really how much if any difference is their between 720p and 1080p for these security cameras?I will say this, at first I thought the panning left and right and up and down wasn’t working, but I figured it out, you don’t hold down the arrow in the direction you want it to move and it moves, you have to tap it, push and release like, and you wait for it to move, there’s a slight delay and it moves an incrimite, then you tap again wait for it to move another incrimite and so forth.I rated it 5 stars for everything except for motion detection which idk about so gave it 4 for that.

It's okay. I have another geeni that works fine but this one reconnects a lot and the picture is usually fuzzy even if it says it has a high connection. For the price, it's worth it. I use as a baby monitor.

This camera works well, clear picture, easy to pan up or down. App works real well and use it on iPad as well. I have bought more greeni cameras since this worked . Connected to WiFi easily. I have about a 2 second lag in tome from camera to phone. Our WiFi is giga speed so it’s probably not the WiFi. But it’s great value . I have baby monitors and Ring cameras the greeni app works so much easier and faster. I suppose every user has different requirements but this camera pans tilts , microphone, night vision and clarity is very good. I used a micro memory card in mine. I don’t remember if Grenni has a recording servive.

Bought 3/22 and it was great but then would constantly go offline. Had to constantly reset. Then it quit connecting altogether. Chatted with Mercury support and went through several troubleshooting steps to no avail. Also, was told the camera needed to be within 15 ft of the router. I have 3 other cameras by this company, all of which are farther away from the router and have never had a problem. if you are buying security cameras for your home they would not all be placed within 15 ft of the router! One camera is a flood light on the back of my house which is way farther away than 15 ft. So either this camera is a piece of junk or I have a faulty one. UPDATE: I had been in contact with Merkury Innovations. On 4/6/23 I was told the warranty department would be sending a refund or a new camera. That is the last I have heard from them. It is now June. I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service with this company.

I was kind of stupid when I equated wireless with meaning no cords. You definitely have to plug it in, which means I can't use it where I originally meant to as there is no outlet. No matter, now I have it monitoring bird and animal activity on my back porch-much more fun! Night vision isn't bad, but there is glare from window

Bought for my Dad for Christmas - He set it up in early Jan and it worked just over a month. Now will not connect to the internet despite several resets and usual troubleshooting. This company will not exchange or refund. Very disappointing customer service. Do not recommend this product.
