T-fal TT7061 Avante Deluxe 2-Slice Toaster with Bagel Function, Black

This toaster is easy to use and to clean. It toasts quickly and evenly as well. The feature of having the right handle lifting the bread up further from the machine is a helpful feature especially when toasting smaller sized items. I find it useful that the unit is angled forward. It allows me to see the items I am toasting. The temperature dial works very well and once adjusted, toast comes out the same every time. The look and feel of this machine is one of quality. It has a brushed stainless steel face which matches the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. It is bigger than most of the economy 2 slice machines, but still fits nicely in the corner where my old toaster resided. It was well packed and is easy to set up. This is the finest toaster I have owned and I have received several 'cool toaster' comments when others have seen it. This was a great value for the money paid.

I keep buying this toaster for the design. But why have I had to replace it 2x? It dies within a year. The springs are set too high tension so I know when my toast has made that familiar sound of falling on the floor. (Means we have to keep a very clean floor.) We've devised a way to have the toast hit the shelf above and land on the shelf (usually) but I am thinking of making a little net devise, like a soccer goal, to keep it from flying.Sometimes it also doesn't like to toast both sides of the bread. So we set the toast darkness a little lower and flip it.So, why keep buying it? Amusement at flying toast shows? Maybe. Well, I have a shelf where it fits perfectly. It looks nice. All the other toasters we've had to buy since our one from the 70s died have sucked in far many other ways.I wish they would simply fix the spring and coils design and release a new and improved version!!!

My guess is that this company holds a patent on the 45 degree angle design. This is my third purchase of this product since 2002. I have the two-slice modelAdvantages1. Design2. Levers and other buttons use cheap plastic2. Until fails after 5 years - that's is how long each of mine lasted. When they fail, they short out3. Openings could be taller, they're plenty wide. A very long piece of rye bread is a challenge4. Will burn toast if not careful in settings

This has been a great toaster - we use it almost every day, often several times a day, and mainly for toasted bread, bagels and waffles. Some people have said it tends to shoot the toast out onto the floor - I have never experienced this, even with smaller breads and small bagels. I have had this toaster for years (8 years?) and just recently ordered another because the inside elements stopped working and it started toasting on only one side, but this toaster has had a lot of use over the years in our family. My old one had the sleek, flat, brushed stainless finish as shown in the picture, which was much more attractive - I don't know why they changed it, and I am quite disappointed with the new finish and front design. Otherwise, it goes well with my other stainless appliances, while the black sides makes it look cleaner, hiding fingerprints and smudges. The slots are wide, easily accommodating large bagels, and if you push the Bagel button, it will toast only the one side, leaving the top crispy, but bottom soft. I really like the high-lift lever to help lift smaller pieces out without burning your fingers. Very easy to use.

Ten year old toaster died, so I wanted to purchase something special. Loved the look of this one, and after reading reviews, it seems it was the luck of the draw which one you received, some loved it others hated it.Well to start the selector dial is loose and seems as though its ready to fall off. No matter what setting, or what item was placed in it to be toasted, the end result was burned, not entirely burned, kind of spot burned. Sometimes the bottom of the item would be burned sometimes the top, sometimes the middle.Set off our smoke alarm when set at the 2 setting, tried it for 2 weeks to give it the benefit of a fair trial, then decided it wasn't worth it. Amazon was wonderful with a no hassle return.This is toast #3, (all different brands) bought one from Target, results were about the same, another from Walmart only spot toasted. Its the quest of my waking hours to try and find a toaster that just toasts correctly a toaster should not be a complicated thing, if you got an old one that works be thankful!!
