Dalí Pop-Ups Hardcover – December 8, 2014

Great pop up images of a few of Dali’s works and also short write ups.

My five year old loves Salvador Dali. This book brings his paintings to life and also has some great descriptions and information about the artist and his paintings. I love looking at this book as much as my 5 year old. I do beleive that it is intended for adults, some of the content is not age appropriate for 5 year olds, however my son may be a little more mature than most kids his age when it comes to art and book and he really digs this.

If you like Dalí's work, this is fun way to look at it. Also there is quite a bit of history of the works and Dalí printed on the pages. Mechanically most of the popups are moderately complex dioramas, but there is one pull tab that flips 9 panels for a great effect.

I recommend that every adult should have a pop -up book collection, and that they get this. It has a nice bio and some good general art history facts. Some pretty terrific 3d imagine-ings of Dali's more famous paintings plus the pages are super beautiful. It's by far my new favorite. Worth it.

I opened the book very carefully. I have many pop-up books and know enough not to force them, especially for the first time. On one page, the pop-up feature ripped, leaving me unable to fully display the page. I'm still contemplating wether to glue it (the tear won't show as much but the glue may not hold) or to tape it with mailing tape that will definitely show.

Some really cool pop ups, but even with my extreme carefulness of slowly opening and closing the pages, checking for hang ups, I still got a tear the very first time looking through it. Pop up art is fun and the more elobarate the better sometimes, but not when it potentially ruins it.

Absolutely beautiful book. Gave to my mom who collects pop-up books. It was much bigger when it came than I expected, and the cut outs are very delicate, be very slow and careful when turning the pages, this is an art book, so it is not as durable as most kids' type books.

Gave it as a gift to a collector of art and pop up books. The recipient was ecstatic.She especially applauded the excellent quality and selection of Dali's Art. She was also thrilled by the intricacies of the puzzle-like design to create the dimensional texture or the pieces. I highly recommend the book to Dali fans and lovers of clever art forms. Ama

Interesting but a little disappoiniting

Brilliant book.

Pop up Dali! need I say more? the pop ups were all in great condition and add a totally different perspective to the original paintings. a good addition for any dali lover. only wish there were more pop ups in the book!

This is a very large book with beautiful designs

Muy poco contenido Para un artista con tanto trabajo como Dalí. Solo vienen como 6 obras pictóricas. De ahí en mas la calidad del libro es buena.
