This boxed set is beautiful - the metal is nice quality, the feather arrived strong and in good shape. But the packaging inside the gift box is simply a piece of printed nice cardstock on top of a chunk of foam with cut-outs for the inserts. The cut-outs are too deep, therefore the individual items tend to fall low into the box. They don't all stay upright, so for displaying purposes it looks a little cheap. But otherwise it is nice and acceptable quality for the price point.

Got this for my 12 year old daughter for her birthday because she wanted to try to use one after we have been studying the presidents. She has loved experimenting with the different tips while she is trying to learn how to use it and it is just the right size for her.

I just got the green one and it’s absolutely beautiful, and it actually does come with ink even though the picture of the bottle looks empty. It also comes with different tips. I haven’t used it quite yet but I’m very excited to, I think it turned out super well.

I bought this as a gift for my best friend, and she loves it! The feather is soft and the color is vibrant. I will have to order more in the future!

I bought this quill for my son. When it arrived it was very well packaged. I wrapped it up and gave it to my son and he loved it. I realized that the feather was completely fake and hot glued in the handle. My son loved it, its super easy to write with but drips a lot. It broke after about 6 months.

This is so nice for the price . Heavy but it will probably last. I bought it for a prop so for that it’s perfect!

I wasn't expecting the highest quality quill pen when I ordered this, as it was only $16, but I at least expected it to resemble the product photo. The pen itself looks very nice and exactly as pictured, and it came with the ink and nibs as well. However, they chopped off the top third of the feather - I'm assuming to fit it into the box better - and they didn't even do it well. To make matters worse, the pen would have fit just fine; there was plenty of room left over in the box!

I like the antique look and it works well. everything you need.

nice box, great price

I love this set, I was a little worried about it feeling cheap, but it feels really good! Also the included ink works really well, as long as it isn't on printer paper, good on stationery paper though! My only complaint with this is the stand for the pen. It's so tiny and not quite flat on the bottom so it tips over super easily. Otherwise it would absolutely have been five stars.

So I bought that pen for a friend who just started calligraphy and I’m a bit uncomfortable to give her this pen.. the packaging presentation is great, everything is in the box like advertised but the feather is stained and it has been cut for I don’t know what reason and it doesn’t look good.. so for the looks I’ll give it a 3 stars and I’ll will update it when she will have tested this kit.
