Woods 500 Watt Portable Work Light; Yellow

This light doesn't have any bells or whistles (or even a power switch), but it does the job well. A 500W light puts out a lot of light and, importantly, a lot of heat. The stand allows you to snake the power cord around the back of the light so that the cord does not get excessively warm from the light. The plastic handle gets warm after a few hours; a metal handle would probably be untouchable. Having a power switch would be tricky because the unit gets so hot that any power switch might burn you when you press on it to turn it off. All in all, it's a well-thought-out design for a simple device. You can tilt the light up or down somewhat. It's easy to replace the lightbulb with a screwdriver and a pair of latex gloves (making sure the lamp is cold!). The bulb that came with this light lasted about 45 hours for me.

My family and I used this on Halloween for our little set up outside our house, my lord, pray for whoever ends up across from it! They're going to need glasses if they didnt already, but it does light up stuff very well, especially for it's small size! The handle makes everything so much easier, especially to blind people we hate! (which is a joke, of course... mostly...)

Haven’t had the light plugged in for more than 15 minutes and it doesn’t work already. The bulb is blown and yes, I used a rag on my hands when I put it in. I’ve been a mechanic for 35 years. I don’t know how those things work I will never buy one again.

It works great but it seems to be made with inexpensive materials. Kind of fragile in comparison to other similar lights I’ve used.

Very bright. Easy to assemble. Made out of mostly metal. Hanging or moving it is a sinche

I bought these Halogen work lights on two different occasions to give warmth to my tropical fruit trees during below freezing weather. They do give the plants sufficient heat in my make-shift greenhouse and under my lemon tree that is too big to cover without getting in contact with the plastic or frost cloth. By using these Halogen work-lights, all my fruit trees did survive without any freeze burn including my mango tree. They work super well while they work CON: They don't last very long. The first couple of lights that I bought lasted throughout the winter months and then quit working after having them about 6 months. I bought 3 more for 2024 winter, only 2 worked out of package, and those two lasted for about 4 months. Luckily the threat of freeze was over by the time they quit working. If they would last much longer I would buy again, however I am not willing to take that chance a third time.

To comply with Amazon Review Requirements this review must focus on the functionality of the product. In order for this product to work properly, it must have all the parts. The light arrived without a cover guard or handle. On the packaging, it says: Caution risk of burns, DO NOT OPERATE without guard, which makes this product non-functioning without the cover. The light also gets very hot, so not having the handle will also prevent the light from being used, as it is too hot to pick up. So there you have it. This light "does not function" without all of its parts. Even though the packaging had an "inspected by Amazon" sticker on the packaging, and it was taped close, parts were missing making this product inoperable. I hope this review does not get rejected again, is this IS a review of the functionality of this product.
