It doesn't come assembled but all you have to put together is the top rack which is secured in by simple screws and optional (if you put it in you may have trouble fitting longer barrel guns in). And the foam inserts that will actually hold the long guns in place are simple foam with adhesive parts. The main door is installed if that was what you were worried about.
