I used this when I got a tattoo on my back and had to take care of it by myself. And this made it so easy I would recommend this for that purpose anyway.

If you have any mobility issues, this item is a must have! Because of its long, ergonomic handle, it's great for applying lotion, ointment, and creams to your legs, feet and back. I took off one star b/c the sponge itself does not seem as durable as the previous one I had which lasted years (and is probably why it's no longer being manufactured).

I recently had hip replacement surgery, so was unable to apply lotion on my foot and ankle. Although the product is a great idea, it didn't work as well as I had hoped. I thought the head of the product was more sponge-like, but instead it was a little too firm, even after soaking it in water for a bit. I bought two, so hoping my friend with a bad knee enjoys her more!

It’s so soft and easy to apply cream and lotions on your back. I just wish the handle was not wood. We leave it in the shower and I am afraid It will not hold up.
