I really love this coloring book. It doesn't have the transparent pages, as some of the others do. But this book makes up for that in the sheer volume of designs. It covers designs from the Middle Ages through Art Nouveau. The author of this one included references to the original stained glass pieces that inspired the designs. It is okay, nice copies of stained glass windows but not really wanting people in the pictures. That is my own preference, some of the prints are very nice, some kind of crude in execution. There is a list in back of the book...make no mistake this is a hard back book....with the stained glass windows listed with a date originally created and where the original is located, other than that brief description nothing else. Like I said this is a book, paper is thick, but images are back to back so as you can imagine, there is a potential problem of bleed through with gel or paints, and with colored pencils a chance for shadow through. You can not remove the pages with ease, and doubt you would want to, essentially I will pick and choose a few on the right side of the book carefully, not really what I expected, the picture on the cover is a bit misleading, if you do not want knights, religious figures, and such this is not the book for you, stained glass without figures is available, regardless disappointed. To be fair arrived on time.

Beautiful pictures and nice book but when it stated that they were stain glass designs I was thinking that they would be on vellum paper. Many other books I've gotten that stated "stain glass designs" were on vellum and you can hang them up in clear frames like they were stain glass. Other than that it's a great book. I enjoy coloring the pictures.

I bought one at a gift store and immediately checked Amazon to find one for a gift. The price was less than half the price I paid, so I ended up buying two to give friends as Christmas gifts!! Images are gorgeous!!

This is such a good quality book. It is hardcover, the designs are stunning. At the back, there is a listing of all the stain glass designs in the book and where they are from. Highly recommend .

I was disappointed because I didn't realize the pictures were printed on both sides of the paper. I also noted a lot of duplicated designs on opposing pages. It is a very sturdy book. Pages do not have perforations so you can't take them out easily. It does say where the original stained glass windows are at the end of the book and that's cool.

This particular book to be very exciting to color in.Not only do u have glorius staind glass windows to color u increase ur knowledge of this form of art done in the Medieval era. Do another with differnt windows!

What I expected

A good book with a wide variety of pictures to be coloured - ideal for anyone who wants to be artistic but who feels they cannot draw etc, or just as a relaxing pass time. Overall a lovely book for young and old alike.

i thought it was stained glass transparent paper not white paper just a bit disappointed as it was a birthday present for a friend.

A nice idea and great if you have time which needs using up.
