Good!
I really enjoyed Reading this book in the various stories Marc describes. Also love, listening to his podcast and watching his YouTube videos regarding F1!

Pleasantly surprised
No ghost writer here! “Elvis” is quite a good writer, and I found his behind the scenes insights to be thoughtful and interesting. I knocked off one star for the occasional overemphasis on tales of drunken idiocy, but even this was explained by the end of the book as part of the F1 culture of the time in question. The story behind the Alonso/Lewis feud during the 2007 season is worth the price of the book by itself.

Good book for F1 fan
As a fan of F1 I enjoyed this book. I’ve always been curious what the life of a team mechanic was like, and although things have changed since the authors time in the sport it was still an interesting read.As a Hamilton fan I especially enjoyed the insight on Hamiltons rookie season at McLaren

Great book detailing life from within the Pitlane in Formula 1
Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motor sports. Racing both figuratively and literally across the Globe 10 months of the year from Australia to the UK to Abu Dhabi and Bahrain across the Atlantic to the US, Mexico and Brazil among other places, Marc Priestly takes us behind the scenes of one of the great teams in F1 - McLaren. Detailing story’s about the cars and the drivers, including Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Sebastian Vettel, and Lewis Hamilton, along with the mechanics and other members of this elite sport, Priestley lifts the curtain and welcomes us into the world he long inhabited as a member of the McLaren team.

Well written and entertaining
If you like Formula 1 racing and Netflix's Drive to Survive, you'll love this book. Behind the scenes of a Formula 2 pit crew and a great recap of Louis Hamilton's start in F1.

Just Off the Podium
Behind the scenes insight into the lives of F1 drivers, owners, and executives, both on track & offtrack, seen from perspective of a team mechanic. Although it lets race fans see a limited glimpse into the personal lives & practical business dealings of the Formula 1 teams drive for the championship, the practical knowledge of engineers; mechanics is limited to brief roles how they prepare; set-about functioning specific tasks to win a race. A bit gossip. A bit garage. Not quite the checked flag.
