mine appears well made and love the easy on easy off
After my first use on the trailsI read where some said the bladder gave an after taste. I soaked mine overnight with soapy water. No after taste. I read where some say the hose connection leaks; mine appears well made and love the easy on easy off...mine doesn't leak.I read where some said it was poorly made. Mine appears nicely made.I do love the storage. I do love the bite cover (I mountain bike and crunching on sand is over rated). I do love the hose lock. With the shoulder, chest and belly straps, mine stayed where I put it. It was comfortable. The only think I would want to make aware. The description says to fit up to a 50 inch chest. I am a very athletic 44 inch and I have no extra for the chest strap. I don't think mine would fit any larger than me.Tomorrow I am going on a 24 mile ride on the trails. The 2.5 liters of water carried will make it doable. So far, great hydration pack. If anything changes I will let you know.FranklinPost script. About a month and several hundred mikes with the pack...including several spills. What I said still stands. I love the bands on the back of the pack, very utilitarian pack. Great storage in the pack and I carry a tire pump and shock pump outboard with the use of the bands.Great pack.

A+
I love my Tactical Hydration Pack. First of all, it's a great product made by a great small company who cares about and is loyal to their customers' satisfaction (detailed e-mails sent upon purchase by Unigear, telling you they've got your back if anything goes wrong with your product, as well as showing gratitude for your business). I like the honesty displayed by this company very much. And as far as the pack, I'm fully pleased with it. After 2 uses it has worked as well as expected. I like that it is made from a thick and durable material, with just enough storage space on the 2 external pockets to fit items to go with you. Gone on 2 hikes and I carry my portable speaker and snacks in there and with the bladder all the way filled, it's not very burdensome to carry. Not much storage space on the tall bladder pocket.Overall, it's a great item to have. I liked the look of this one over other bags on Amazon & you can put a patch of your choosing on there, as I did.Side note: in case anyone gets a 'plastic' taste, use about 1 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup baking soda with the rest hot water and leave it in the bladder overnight (or about 5-8hrs), before your first use. Run some of the liquid through the spout while the water is still warm to help get some of the taste that's in the hose. After you've left it sitting for x amount of time, keep running the liquid through the hose & spout. Rinse it all out with clean water and you'll be good to go. Worked for me.

A perfect balance between cost and quality..
This product falls right in the sweet spot between cost and quality..The pack, itself, is extremely durable and obvious military grade. It's weather resistant.. water trickles right off of it. After inspecting this, I am also confident this material will not rip due to the pattern used when producing the material. I feel like you could literally take this pack into battle with you.As you already know, there are other packs on the market for less money and more money, however, the cheaper packs will be more cheaply made.. not to mention having the appearance of something possibly made for kids. The more expensive packs couldn't possibly be of a better quality, but perhaps it's desired to show off a particular brand name in order for others to know you spent a lot. Personally, if it looks good and is made of good quality.. I don't need logos or branded tags to show off.Moving on to the water bladder. It does hold water without leaking.. I've filled it to test. It's durable.. I've dropped it onto hardwood from roughly 6'. I've applied pressure to try and catch any leaks.. there were none. I'm sure it could drop from much higher, but I'm not really out to bust this thing for the sake of bragging in a review. There are more expensive water bladders out there.. if you feel the need to walk around with a chem/bio resistant drink bag. Who knows.. there could be a third world war followed by nuclear winter where everything on the earth's surface becomes contaminated by lethal amounts radiation. You'll still have a couple liters of water to drink in the mean time.Me, personally.. I'm just taking this camping. I also plan on mixing an "adult beverage" to store in this, rather than water. I'm sure it's not too recommended, but I'm going to. If there is no further edits to this review.. it'll mean it worked out fine, and I'm sure it will as I have done this numerous times.. even with cheap bladders. If it does ruin the bladder, my review will remain 5 star, but an edit will be added to forewarn. I can't possibly be the only person to use this type of product in that manner.Anyhow.. my overall thoughts of this product is that you could most likely drop this from a helicopter, battle through a war with it on your back and have a nice mixed drink afterwards.. or during. Whatever floats your boat, I'm sure this product will handle it. Though the actual bladder may have its durable limitations, the pack would probably survive a few wrestling matches with a grizzly bear. You may not, but.. this pack probably would.

Perfect for big guys
I’m 5’11” and 250 lbs and was a little worried about whether it would fit or not. But it fits perfectly with room to spare. Once you put the water pack in there is only two compartments for your gear , one is big enough for your cell and wallet and the lower one is big enough for your bike repair kit and a sandwich. Without the water pack there’s lots of room for whatever. As far as the water pack, I filled it with lemon water overnight and emptied it and refilled it and there is no plastic taste and after an hour of riding in 100 degree heat the water tastes cool and great. So I’ve only used the pack about 20 times but so far so good 🍻

Great product with some hiccups.
I do plenty of distance running and was looking for a pack with a low profile, solid hydro-capacity, and tight, form-fitting feel without the bouncing and swaying I’ve had from other hydro-packs. This backpack delivered on most of these details! The pockets are perfect for carrying the essentials like wallet, keys etc without tempting you to overload the bag with extra stuff. The result is a low-profile, stylish pack that clings tightly to the body. No issues for my build which can be described as average height and athletic build. The one knock is that the bladder and tubing are merely average and a little bit unorthodox in design. Filling the bladder is awkward and sliding it back into the back is a strange chore. Mine seems to leak slightly regardless of how diligently I seal it. After several uses and cleanings, the bladder also still has the lingering factory odor that other people have also commented on. Definitely passable but doesn’t reach an excellent standard. The result is a solid product which should satisfy the needs of most buyers.

Would’ve been perfect for me.
Has exactly the compartments I need while staying compact and sleek. Padding on the backpack is comfortable. Would be 5 stars but I gave it 3 star because my item was ripped on the inside top pocket. At the moment hole is small but I can see the hole growing over time deeming the pocket useless to me. I am returning it. Contemplating if I should return it and buy another one.

Great pack, horrible bladder
I'm a dog walker, and spend about 10hrs a day in the sun. The pack itself is great; comfortable, decent storage capacity, well made. The bladder is terrible. Hose came so kinked, trying to draw water through it was like trying to suck concrete through a straw. The bladder itself has a weird chemical taste that still remains despite several washings. I swapped a camelbak bladder for the one that came with this pack, and problem solved.

Good but mouth piece is annoying
I love this, just wish the mouth bit was a bit easier to suck water through
