Unigear Tactical Hydration Pack Backpack 900D with 2.5L Bladder for Hiking, Biking, Running, Walking and Climbing

I've had mine for I think almost 3 years now and the water liner whatever it's called with the actual water goes in has only just finally started leaking everything else works perfectly except the the valve that closes the line works fine but if you leave that open the bite thing started leaking after like a month so like when I had it full and be my truck on the way to hiking I had to make sure the valve was closed or if I was walking my whole right leg will get soaked if I didn't close the valve after drinking from it but other than that it's great it has lots of little pockets sometimes I don't carry anything but this Camelback cuz I get everything I need in it and nothing else is going wrong zippers work fine buckles are good it's pretty adjustable for different sizes definitely recommend it you just whenever the liner breaks or even before that you might want to buy a replacement cuz it'll eventually go but the liner is pretty good it's got a good locking mechanism it's got the thing down the middle so all the water doesn't just sit at the bottom it's pretty thick I can put ice in there before and it's never had a problem yeah I give it five stars even with the mouth thing leaking

This product falls right in the sweet spot between cost and quality.. The pack, itself, is extremely durable and obvious military grade. It's weather resistant.. water trickles right off of it. After inspecting this, I am also confident this material will not rip due to the pattern used when producing the material. I feel like you could literally take this pack into battle with you. As you already know, there are other packs on the market for less money and more money, however, the cheaper packs will be more cheaply made.. not to mention having the appearance of something possibly made for kids. The more expensive packs couldn't possibly be of a better quality, but perhaps it's desired to show off a particular brand name in order for others to know you spent a lot. Personally, if it looks good and is made of good quality.. I don't need logos or branded tags to show off. Moving on to the water bladder. It does hold water without leaking.. I've filled it to test. It's durable.. I've dropped it onto hardwood from roughly 6'. I've applied pressure to try and catch any leaks.. there were none. I'm sure it could drop from much higher, but I'm not really out to bust this thing for the sake of bragging in a review. There are more expensive water bladders out there.. if you feel the need to walk around with a chem/bio resistant drink bag. Who knows.. there could be a third world war followed by nuclear winter where everything on the earth's surface becomes contaminated by lethal amounts radiation. You'll still have a couple liters of water to drink in the mean time. Me, personally.. I'm just taking this camping. I also plan on mixing an "adult beverage" to store in this, rather than water. I'm sure it's not too recommended, but I'm going to. If there is no further edits to this review.. it'll mean it worked out fine, and I'm sure it will as I have done this numerous times.. even with cheap bladders. If it does ruin the bladder, my review will remain 5 star, but an edit will be added to forewarn. I can't possibly be the only person to use this type of product in that manner. Anyhow.. my overall thoughts of this product is that you could most likely drop this from a helicopter, battle through a war with it on your back and have a nice mixed drink afterwards.. or during. Whatever floats your boat, I'm sure this product will handle it. Though the actual bladder may have its durable limitations, the pack would probably survive a few wrestling matches with a grizzly bear. You may not, but.. this pack probably would.

I previously own 2 Camelbaks that I have used to go to music festivals as well as for biking and hiking. I have the classic Camelbak Hydration Pack which did great, but I wanted to upgrade and get one that had more storage space. I opted for the Camelbak Rogue and I had a nightmare with it. My bladder and hosing cracked while I was at a festival and all 2 L of water flooded my entire bag and I had to not only toss the backpack, but all my items were ruined. Luckily, Amazon was kind enough to mail me a replacement one. Having said that, I did my research and decided to go with an "off-label" brand and see how it did. First and foremost, this backpack is made really well and sturdy. The straps feel more like a traditional backpack and you don't even have to fasten the strap across the chest, but if you do, it will just keep things more in place and sturdy. Secondly, the design of this water pack is PERFECT. The bladder is in its OWN compartment and is not effected by the other pockets for storage. You can easily remove the bladder, fill it up completely, and then EASILY slide it in its pocket and secure it. This was one of the drawbacks from the Camelbak packs that I had. It was really difficult to fill a bladder up fully then slide it in easily into the pouch. But with the Unigear, I had no such issue. It worked flawlessly! I recommend rinsing the bladder out with warm water and soap so that you don't get any plastic/bad taste when you do drink. Thirdly, there is PLENTY of storage space in this bag. And I mean plenty. They have two large pockets on the front for easy access, and you have small compartments with zippers within the pockets as well to keep things very organized. This came in very handy to know where certain things are. The only cons I can think of for this bag are two fold. On one hand, as some of the other reviews mention, the hose dose kink quite easily when drinking it. I find that I had to unclip it from the strap and pull on it to "straighten" it to really get the water flowing (and even after that, sometimes the water would flow a bit slowly). Secondly, the pack itself is made of a cloth like material (think of an actual backpack) so cleaning it is a little bit difficult (whereas my Camelbaks were more of a nylon/windpant type of material and was very easy to wipe). Because of the hose kinking quite easily, I am going to give this 4 out of 5 stars, but I think that for the price point and the functionality this pack is penny for penny the best value compared to the name brands and more expensive ones.

Rocked this baby at the ACL music festival. I was able to put all my belongings in the pockets provided. The small one on top alone was roomy enough fro my wallet, phone and car keys. I like all the extra clips and security measures to keep the plastic bag inside the backpack. Though it may be a bit of a pain to get out to refill, I knew it wasn't going anywhere. Everything about it feels right and extra secure. The clips that go around the chest area fit just fine but the ones around the wait were too small for me. I'm 6'5 and wear xxl so I'm a bit bigger than most people. It's not a complaint, just a heads up. However, I didn't need them at all. My favorite aspect about this Backpack was that there was no visible logo on it. I don't like the thought of being a walking billboard, so this was the main reason why I bought it. I hate being overcharged for a brand name product. This is comfier, bigger and all around better than a Camelpak in my opinion. I have no complains about this product. I love it and I tend to use it for future events and adventures. Will definitely buy more when the time comes for it.

I had this pack for three long hikes (10+ miles) now and absolutely love it. I sweat a lot, therefore I drink a lot. This pack hold more than enough water\liquid to keep me hydrated. The pockets have just enough room to carry any essentials you might need for the day including snacks, toilet paper, flashlight, etc. With the straps on the back I am able to clip on a couple of carabiners with some paracord (just in case). The pack can be adjusted to carry high or low and for those with a C & C permit the lower pocket is very accessible (if you know what I mean!!) Plenty of areas to clip to hang sweat towels or phone cases too. This pack is everything and more than I expected! I am extremely happy with this pack. It is comfortable and compact and appears to be very durable (50+ miles hiked with it so far). The bladder\hose cleans easy and the pack doesn't seem to retain any sweat odor either (I do set it outside to air dry in the sun after use). If I had ANY complaint at all it would be the mouth piece seems a little restrictive in the amount of fluid it allows through...but in retrospect, this is probably a good thing in that it has helped me conserve my supply to last the entire hike. So glad I bought this instead of the $100+ brands!! 5-Stars easy!!

This is a great piece of kit! Being a martial arts instructor the hydration pack is great for in between classes where I can duck out into the back room, get a few gulps of water and jump right back into the fray. AND THEN this bag covers a bunch more of my more active parts of my day, I can keep a bunch of extra peripherals in here like band-aids, toiletries as I spend more nights of the week at friends' houses than my own, snack bars, electronics, you name it! It's no Bag Of Holding, but it's surprisingly useful if you make a habit of keeping it near you. It makes for a great way to keep smaller items of great use in one place, and if you are able to top it off frequently with clean water, you'll find yourself rarely going thirsty. The 2.5 liter water capacity is great for long trips by yourself or shorter excursions with a group as you can hold enough for your buddies should they need any and the easy to remove bitepiece allows to turn into a walking water tap. Paired with its storage capacity, its ideal for long active days where replenishes are few and far in between. The only downside I can see is its weight. While I personally don't mind wearing this bag fully stocked on my person and it is not a considerable bit of mass, it IS 2.5 liters; filled to capacity, that's more than the weight of a party-sized coke bottle on your back before factoring in anything you'd like to carry in its pockets. I carry out most of my endeavors on foot, but I can easily envision this bag being a boon to bike riders who also appreciate its tacti-cool aesthetic. If you don't mind the weight, or need the capacity this bag is a solid buy.

Feels well constructed with thick materials, no obvious or glaring quality issues. All features as advertised. Clip to hold the hose on the shoulder strap feels a bit flimsy though, would not be surprised if it breaks soon, but fingers crossed! Took it on one 18 mile nighttime bike ride so far, and it works well. Straps are comfortable and easily adjustable. pack is relatively small, but with enough space and pockets to hold everything necessary for a light ride/trip. Would like to see more sewn in pockets in the upper pouch, but it's a minor quibble. Not sure if the pack is waterproof, but the inside feels like it has a water resistant coating. Had no problems with the water pouch - some reviews say there's a chemical taste, but I followed included directions (sortof) and let 2 cups of white vinegar sit in the bladder and hose for 30 mins before rinsing - and although there was a trace vinegar taste when I was on my ride, I didn't taste anything else. There's a nice on/off valve at the end of the hose, and a quick-release switch for the bite valve. Bite valve also has a dust cover, which although I didn't need on this trip, I can see coming in handy if on a dusty ride or hike. Bottom line: great hydration pack (2.5L) with enough capacity for a light ride or hike! Good quality and features. Will update if any problems with durability.

I wanted a hydration pack for my long runs of 13 miles or more. I took a week or more going through all of the hydration vests on Amazon, reviewing them, and looking for additional information. I found this one and really liked the design and that it had padding in the places that really needed it. Having been in the military I really liked the colors also. I received my hydration pack quickly. I was impressed with the design and sturdiness. It is thoughtfully designed so that all of the compartments are sealed up and won't flop around. Its a quality pack! The pockets are perfect for carrying extra. The straps are well designed and ensure you get a snug fit, even when the bladder is filled with water. The water bladder seemed really thin. I took my pack out, about half way filled with water, and found that it was super comfortable. Except for having the extra weight of the water on my back, I hardly knew it was there. The padding really helps to make it comfortable. It didn't bounce at all when I ran. I saw on some of the other reviews that some had problems using the drink tube. I had no issues. It was perfect! Getting ready to go out for my second run, I filled the water bladder. I then connected the drink tube to the bladder and it leaked all around where the drink tube connects to the bladder. I tried everything I could to stop it with no luck. It seems to me there needs to be more effort with designing the bladder and drink tube so that it doesn't leak. I also think the bladder needs to be designed so it's a little thicker and will be able to be more durable. Most of the problems I read about this pack had to do with the bladder, so I am guessing this is quite common. The pack itself is great, but without being able to carry water it defeats the purpose of having a hydration pack.

I do plenty of distance running and was looking for a pack with a low profile, solid hydro-capacity, and tight, form-fitting feel without the bouncing and swaying I’ve had from other hydro-packs. This backpack delivered on most of these details! The pockets are perfect for carrying the essentials like wallet, keys etc without tempting you to overload the bag with extra stuff. The result is a low-profile, stylish pack that clings tightly to the body. No issues for my build which can be described as average height and athletic build. The one knock is that the bladder and tubing are merely average and a little bit unorthodox in design. Filling the bladder is awkward and sliding it back into the back is a strange chore. Mine seems to leak slightly regardless of how diligently I seal it. After several uses and cleanings, the bladder also still has the lingering factory odor that other people have also commented on. Definitely passable but doesn’t reach an excellent standard. The result is a solid product which should satisfy the needs of most buyers.

山歩きのために購入。初のハイドレーションでしたが、一度使うと手放せなくなるほど便利です。 初回使用時にチューブ接合部からポタポタと水漏れをしており、一日ズボンを濡らして歩きました。 接合部に水道用のパッキンを入れると漏れは止まったので、使用前に水漏れの確認をお勧めします。 ◆カバンとして 500mlペットボトルぐらいのサイズから収納するのが厳しくなってきます。 細かい物を沢山持っていく人にはお勧めですが、着替えや食べ物などかさばる物を持っていきたい人には向きません。 パンを持っていきたくても潰さないと入らなかったりと、上下どちらかの収納がもう少し大きければと思うことが多々あったり。 MOLLEによる拡張性はあるものの、サイズ確認は入念に。 ◆ハイドレーションとして 他との比較はできませんが、水漏れを除き優秀です。外径12mmのパッキンで対応可能。 水袋の開口部が広いので男の手でも中の水分を拭き取れ、チューブ接合部辺りにフック用の穴があり開口部を下にして吊るせるため使用後のメンテナンスも楽です。吸い口の取り外しも可能です。 肩ベルトに片口のチューブ固定具があり移動中に邪魔になることもありません。 水漏れともう少し大きい物をしまえれば星5です。
