FYDELITY Audio Cassette Tape Player with Retro Headphones & Mp3 80s Portable

Growing up, the Walkman went everywhere with me! As a 35 year old man, I had this strange urge a few weeks ago to get back into listening to my cassettes and for some reason... I couldn't inset the tape into my phone. I had no way to play my Beastie Boys, Blues Travelers, or Meatloaf collection....So broken hearted, I went to eBay to see if I could find my trusty walkman. And not to my surprise... IT WAS THERE!!!However, the price would have . caused a divorce and I had to think about getting something "retro." After searching on Amazon for a whole day, it came down to this little gadget. I liked that it was slightly more expensive than the other options (at the time of purchase, this cost me 1 date night at The Sizzler or $54). It was worth every penny, too because when I opened it, my wife looked at me and said "Oh, that's pretty neat!"The sound quality takes me back in time, feels like I was jamming to tunes and delivering newspapers like it was yesterday! The headphones won't last long during a trip to the gym - they'll end up soggier than a wet pair of socks on a camping trip... but they definitely LOOK good.Would I buy again? Yep.NOTE: Deducted 1 star due to the design. Wish there was a bit more color to it instead of looking like The Silver Surfer.

It has features I really wanted (and wish to find one like it but see none on Amazon)- stereo- door to open and close the cassette compartment- sideways opening making it easy to insert a cassette and to clean- DC in port for 3v adapter (didn't use it, just ran on batteries)- headphone output- Direction buttonBUT ...- when I got it, two buttons were missing. I found them floating in the box and managed to put them on.- the battery compartment inside the cassette compartment has a flimsy cover that comes off too easily.- the cassette DOOR WILL NOT STAY CLOSED. You have to squeeze it hard or use some blue tape over it to keep it closed, else it won't play. Taping is a bit difficult, because the tape has to go right over the volume wheel.- headphone output to a radio Aux-In port works but issues a background buzz- headphone output to an amplifier via RCA plugs (surprise! it's included) works but causes additional hum in the amp.BOTTOM LINE:- Superb design of needed features- Dreadful, cheap, manufacturing making this product into a piece of rather expensive junk.- The most difficult packaging. Impossible to repackage in the box correctly for return.I haven't used the usb cable nor the CD with, I think, conversion software. Don't need it. Don't want it.I did not try their headphones since I got better ones. Sound through the amplifier wasn't bad except for the hum.

I recently purchased this cassette player as a Christmas gift for my 80’s loving daughter. I opened it to ensure it works before giving it to her. When I opened the package I found that both orange earphone covers had rips/holes in them. Otherwise the player seemed to work well and has decent sound quality (for a cassette player). I’ve messaged the seller and asked for replacements for the foam earphone covers.

Just like the one I had in the eighties!!

Pictures look really good, but this thing is not good. Better to go to thrift store than to get this. The door fell apart when I opened it to out in the tape. The head phones are so small and the sound quality is garbage

The description on this product said 'battery powered', when it arrived it had no spot to put batteries in and only worked when plugged into a usb.

Terrible item. It was losing parts as I took it out of the packing. Cheap poor quality.
