How does this bag (2.0) differ from the ultimate gym bag (item model number: xms1553), also from focusgear?

From what I notice, the xms1553 is limited to only one size (20") and two colors (grey and pink). The 2.0 bag has several different colors to choose from and comes in either small (15") or medium (20") size. The most noticeable difference between the two bags is that the xms1553 does not have a "water-resistant bottom panel", nor does it have pegs/feet on the bottom of the bag to protect the bottom of the bag from scratches and being torn. The 2.0 has those features, which are great reinforcements. Other than that, the bags are very similar.

Does the bottom of the main compartment have a hard base (like cardboard?)

Do not listen to Hillstones answer. The bottom of the bag is not hard at all... it is a thin cardboard and offers slight support. It is easily bendable
