Look Inside Bulldozer Cross-Sections

Awesome series of books. I couldn't recommend the books in they series higher.

A good book for primary aged children to give them an idea on the workings of earth moving machines. It's okay for kids.

The Look Inside Cross- Sections series varies greatly in drawing quality. The one on Tanks is excellent that an adult would greatly appreciate, while the ones on Bulldozers, Space, and Trains are 2nd rate at best. Joanne Earl was the 'Designer' for the Tank series, (which came out AFTER the others) but the other series had a different person - must be why one is high quality and the others low quality. If you are looking for a book packed with information this is not it - it is a children's book. I gave 3 stars because a child might go with 4 stars while an adult would say 2 stars in comparison with the Tank series.

My 3 year old loves construction machines but does not seem to like this book. He's not really picked it up much. The drawings are incredibly detailed but fail to express the mechanics as I had hoped. It seems more cluttered then useful. Even my 10 year old has not had much interest and he used to love construction machines.
