Drama Games for Classrooms and Workshops

I run a program called The Young Actors Project in Vancouver Canada. I've collected lots of different books to help me with ideas to build my class plans. My students are all aged 8-15. This book really stood out. Tons of different exercises - many fresh ones that I'd never seen before - well explained on how to implement, and with age levels, group size, and learning points for each one. I really like this book. Very useful. A gem of a book. Thanks.

Arrived earlier than expected in excellent condition

Benutze dieses Buch seit Jahren in meiner Theater-AG in der Schule (musste jetzt ein neues kaufen, weil das andere verschwunden ist…) und hier sind - auf Englisch, aber sehr gut verständlich - mit viel Humor viele Aufwärmspiele, Gruppen- und Spielübungen und Probenanregungen für alle Situationen drin, die man in einem Theaterjahr so braucht. Natürlich sind da auch die „Klassiker“ drin, die man möglicherweise schon kennt, aber auch viele unbekanntere Sachen, und auch schöne Anregungen, wie man die Übung variieren oder an eine Gruppengröße anpassen kann. Unbedingte Kaufempfehlung! Und es macht richtig Spaß, auch die Spielanleitungen zu lesen, die fast immer mit einem Beispiel versehen sind, wie das Spiel ablaufen könnte. Das ist sehr lustig! Und danach hat man es wirklich auch kapiert.

Have started a drama group at primary school recently with having little experience or confidence in drama myself, so bought a couple of books for inspiration. This one is an absolute MUST!!! Every activity is easy to follow and categorised for everything from facial warm ups to improvisation games. The kids have loved all of them and I have too. I've been running the club for two terms now and there are still many, many activities we haven't tried yet. Most ideas would suit a wide range of age groups, right up to late teens (I teach year 5) and are easily adapted to suit topics and extendable for more in depth work. An absolutely brilliant book!
