Must-Have edition for collectors
This edition is great for collectors. It collects issues #18-34 from Brian Reed's Ms. Marvel Run.

Not bad, but not great
This volume shifts to more plot-heavy storytelling. The previous volume gave us a look at the personal life of Carol Danvers, not just Ms. Marvel punching things. I liked that more personalized storytelling where she felt like more of a real character in the real world who also had superpowers. That said, what we get isn't bad storytelling, but maybe less of a uniquely "Carol" story. A lot of these plots could have happened to any other character. We do get some fun supporting characters and cameos. There's a nod to Carol's time as Binary, but frankly it was a bit lost on me since I haven't read the Carol's Binary era comics. So that might be more fun if you understand the reference. We also get the tie-in to Secret Invasion with the Skrulls. If you watched the Captain Marvel movie, you can spot some of the DNA strands of those storylines in this volume. The book finishes up with some Carol backstory about her pre-superpower days. Overall, this volume isn't bad, it just felt somewhat generic.

Garbage
This book is the sad state of modern comics.

Mature, tragic and beautiful
Carol Danvers continues her quest to be the best hero the world has to offer, but finds the road paved with hauntings of her painful past and frustration in her future. Marvel has good writing and trendous visuals in this volume, but as usual, the latte half pretty much falls apart. The way they split these volumes gets disjointed after wrapping the subplots left unconcluded from volume 1 in the first half of volume 2. Afterwards, you get incomplete and disjointed introductions that lack flow and break continuity. An example is when Carol's arm is graphically and brutally crushed, but then is followed by the wrong arm being cast when a new artist is clearly employed to patch up the incomplete storyline. This volume just goes to show that Marvel's writing, which is incongruent today, isn't a new problem.Covering over the plot issues, this volume is a feast of visuals that continues the tragic treatment and painful story of Carol Danvers, even if it misses opportunities to leverage much from the characters of volume 1.

Ótimo!
A serie é muito boa e demonstra os grandes planos que a Marvel já tinha para Carol bem antes de ela assumir o manto de Capitã Marvel.

Carol Danvers quest continues.
Captain Marvel: Carol Danvers- The Ms.Marvel years Vo.2 by Brian Reed, continues the story of Carol Danvers never ending journey to become the best superhero she can be.In Volume 2 the main storyline called secret invasion, sees the return of Ms.Marvels old enemies, The Skrull are planning an attack on planet earth. One Skrull in particular impersonates Ms.Marvel. Which means Carol Danvers team, Lightning storm have no choice but, to apprehend 2 Ms.Marvels and, determine which one is the real Carol danvers. The writing continues to be very good, giving real depth to Carol Danvers as a character. Not only that but, there are also some surprising back stories about one of Lightning storms members. Agent Sum.The artwork in the main panels still never ceases to impress me. The detail in every panel makes me wish I had the talent to draw superheroes, which is a talent I definitely do not have.

Damaged Book
the sold it as new but the book looked like it had read a bunch of times and was then flung across the room a couple of times.
