These journals are always lovely gifts, and this one is no exception. The hard, sturdy cover and thick paper make it a high quality gift. Each journal is a bit different, but this one has stars for rating and opportunities to comment on the movie and setting in which it was watched. The recipient of this gift loved it, especially since I personalized it by modifying the image visible through the square cutout. I don't love the font or image on the cover, so I cut out a bit of beautiful paper slightly larger, and I inked an image which helped personalize the gift and pasted it on the sheet underneath the cover. It added the personal flair from which such a gift always benefit.

A great book to write your thoughts. Movie lovers enjoy!

12.16.2020 ... This is the Best Film Journal!!! I have been reordering this “Movie Lover’s Journal” for several years! Plenty of room to write in highlighted info (Title, Date, Time, Director, Actors, Film Rating, Genre, Film plot/storyline, writers, awards, watched with whom, watched where, your thoughts, your overall rating, etc. I, also, include copyright date, especially helpful for original versus movie remakes; device (TV, tablet, DVD, etc.), app (Netflix, Hulu, etc.); special occasion (birthday, holiday, gift, invitation, etc.). Each journal has just shy of about 100 pages for entries.... Although there is plenty of space for writing, I recommend using a Fine .5 ink pen to fit even more words on the page! Also, I often refer to IMDb website/app for more detailed information to note in journal.

Bought this as a Christmas gift and my friend was excited to get it. I didn't see inside it, but she said it has different sections to fill out to give you ideas what to write about the movie.

My husband and I are avid movie renters. We also have several hundred movies in our collection. I would honestly forget about a movie after a couple of years. We bought this journal to keep record of what we've seen and what we liked and disliked about it. It's also a great conversation starter. The very first movie we recorded was Thor, and my husband was a huge fan whereas I could have lived without seeing that movie. It was fun to use this journal to talk about what we liked and disliked afterwards!

I'm a movie nut. I love to watch movies. I don't read too much into them or dive deep into directors, producers, etc. I just love to be entertained by visual media. I've seen movie journals previously but didn't like their layout or didn't like their price. This balances the two nicely. The cover is a sturdy cardboard? material. The pages are relatively heavy and the prompts are simple and easy to answer. There's even a little room on the sides to glue in your ticket stub. It's a great book for chronicling the movies you've watched and it would be a great gift for a movie lover in your life.

This was bought, specifically, for my granddaughter to give to a friend who loves movies. My husband had a similar one from years ago and he filled out the entire book. When my granddaughter read it, she, immediately, thought of her friend. It's inexpensive and a great idea for anyone who wants to keep a record of their favorite films

Love this book. I keep all my favourite movies in it. Hopefully one day I can pass it on to my kids.
