I'm impressed.
Deltora quest is a children's fantasy series by Australian author Emily Rodda, and consists of Eight books that follows a teenage boy named Lief, a big ass ex-palace guard named Barda, and a wild forest girl named Jasmine as they go across the country finding the Jewels of Deltora (think that's wrong, and someone's probably gonna correct me, but I can't be bothered going to check the book right now.) for something called the belt of Deltora, an artefact that, once completed, would banish Sauron, er, I mean the Shadow lord and his minions from the country of Deltora, over which he as ruthlessly ruled for 16 rears.Writing: 4 out of 5. (Excellent)Fantasy: 3 out of 5 (good)Plot: 3 out of 5 (good)The Characters: 2.5 out of 5 (So-So)I can safely say that Deltora quest is a pretty good book series. Much better than the anime. When we keep in mind that the intended audience is younger people, such as children or pre-teens, I for one can't help but be utterly impressed with not only the quality, but also the seriousness of the books. Often, the characters understand their situations, and actually accept the fact that at any time, they could die. So it's good, but not perfect.
