K9-Power - 'Puppy Gold' Growing Puppy Nutrition Formula

Almost immediate improvement in every aspect of the condition of the bottle-babies I'm raising. They were 2 underdeveloped "preemie" puppies in a large litter and circumstances required me to raise these two by hand. I used the grocery store puppy milk replacer combined with 2% milkfat greek yogurt for the first week and although the yogurt helped with tummy issues (aka "bottle-baby blow-outs"), their little GI tracts were still scouring which was no good for them and no fun for me, either. As soon as the Puppy Gold arrived and they had their first feeding of it (sometimes still combined with yogurt, which in my experience helps to thicken formula enough that puppies have an easier time swallowing the mixture and have less risk of aspirating fluid into their lungs, which leads to pneumonia), they slept more peacefully with less "fussing" and their stool improved 1000%. They are almost 7 weeks now and by all accounts should not have survived past 48 hours, but they are full of sass and will be having their first outside playtime tomorrow. They have been eating high-quality kibble for about 2.5 weeks now but regardless of whether I serve it to them dry or wetted-down, it always has a heaping dose of Puppy Gold powder mixed in, because this experience has made me a true believer in the quality of this product. I've been using K9-Power's "Show Stopper" product for my adult dogs for several years and am a huge believer in that, so I had high hopes for Puppy Gold and it has exceeded my expectations. Not the cheapest thing I could have fed to the babies but worth every penny for the benefits to their condition and their tummies. Besides the fact that I believe this product provided excellent nourishment to the babies, Real Talk> it was much nicer sharing my home and bedroom with little babies with happy tummies than with little babies who were not only fussy from discomfort, but costing a fortune in puppy pads, requiring frequent icky clean-ups from me, and still making enough stink to clear a room. Now we have happy tummies and that makes for a happy me, as well. I will be using this to supplement all of my growing youngsters in the future and will DEFINITELY order it whenever I am expecting a litter of puppies in the future. Excellent product, highly recommend. I have 30+ years of raising, training, showing, and sharing home & life with dogs and puppies, and professional-level education/degree in animal science and health. I paid full price for this product and only regret that I didn't do it a week or two sooner.

I started using Puppy Gold when my white Pomeranian Mix female was nursing her puppies. I had read this was a good product so I thought why not try it. I was NOT prepared for the transformation this supplement caused. My Poms are white/cream colored and as such they have issues with discoloration under their eyes. Upon feeding them this product, the issue cleared up. It was almost as if I had air-brushed her under eye. I recommended it for my mother-in-law's chihuahuas and she had the same results. I recommend this product for all ages of dog - a spoon full on their meals. I obviously can make no guarantees, but like I said, I was amazed at the change in the eye area (the area was so bad that it was actually causing her irritation and nothing I did prior to this worked - I had actually stopped giving it to her after she whelped the pups and the issue returned. I am now purchasing more to help her and my male achieve the cleared up eye. BTW, my vet said the eye issue was a normal thing and I should not worry about it from a health standpoint.)

high priced , there are other options out there ! When i approached them on a price reduction they are arrogant and said they are worth it and will not send out coupons for repeat customers ? SCREW THEM ! I switched and I am glad i found other products .

Came in a very small container. It's basically puppy milk formula. Not worth $30

I use this for a Cane Corso(13wks). He's been on it for 2 wks now, can't really say that it's doing anything other than enticing him to gobble his food down. With the exception of the creatine, I can say that there will probably be some positive effects. As far as the creatine, from what I've researched, there is no benefit to creatine in dogs, as it doesn't have the same effect on dogs, as in humans. Plus, keeping a dog on this long term, would not be good. Creatine affects the kidneys, if taken nonstop.

This is making a big difference in helping a Dutch Shepherd puppy recover from an illness. The pup kept getting sick and as a result he was not developing properly during its critical first several months of growth. The pup is now putting on muscle, a little fat and his coat is much improved. The puppy is also much more robust. His growth is catching up to it's litter mates. I also bought my friends some Orijens puppy food off of Chewy.com and he is thriving on this new food. He now refuses the Taste of the Wild in preference to the Orijens food. Of course since it is the most expensive kibble on the market!!! My friends are not even giving the puppy the full recommended dose and the pup has already shown good improvement. I believe it has also been helping with the pup's Pano issue. I think this should be a part of every puppy's diet, along with some additional Omega 3s - a gram or more a day. I use the K9 Force on my two Malinois.

I used this with my current litter instead of milk replacer and I did not notice any significant differences. This is way to expensive for the amount you get so I'm only giving it 3 stars. It's OK. It does the job but not worth the high end price.

I am a hobby breeder of miniature Australian shepherds and I use Puppy Gold as an additive to her food for my mama dog as soon as she whelps her puppies to give her needed calcium and calories. I find it helps her to produce milk for her puppies and also to keep her conditioned. At about three weeks of age when I start feeding my puppies puppy food, I begin with a mixture of Puppy Gold, hot water and kibble. The taste is enticing for them to eat and the mix helps them to transition with nice firm stools. Gradually, I take away the water and just sprinkle the PG over their chow. With these added nutrients, I have fat and shiny puppies.
