This was sold as used but it arrived in original box well wrapped with all the instructions and in perfect looking condition. It fits the camera well and all the custom buttons seem to function as they should do. The only downside is that it only works with genuine Sony batteries but that’s not a problem for me and it clearly tells you that in the description. This was half the price of a new one meaning I could buy nearly 10 of these compared to a Sony one!!! Even at full price I would still highly recommend it. I’ve never held a Sony one so I can’t compare it to quality and weight. I’ve bought genuine before and usually there’s not much in it to be honest certainly not for the amount of money you pay. I only put 3 stars for battery life because I really don’t see the point in it and I haven’t used the grip for any length of time yet. Overall I definitely recommend this product and I just can’t understand why Sony, Nikon, Cannon and the rest need to charge so much for this type of product other than pure greed.

Far cheaper than the original and just as good, if you are looking for a decent grip as well as a way to help extend your battery life then this is a great option. The grip feels great and it does not add too much weight to the camera, it feels like a natural extension of the camera, it’s that good!

Quality assurance may be an issue, the first one I received had a problem with the rear control wheel which set semi-random shutter speeds on an A7 III. This unit seems quite happy with a mix of Sony and 3rd party batteries, maybe I was lucky. Fitting is simple, detach the battery door from camera and store it in the space provided on the power grip. Add the battery or batteries to the holder and install that then attach the unit to camera, snugging up the knurled wheel. Once fitted and enabled, you get a secondary shutter release positioned for portrait shooting, secondary front and read control wheels and secondary custom buttons. These can be locked out if you just want the additional battery capacity. There's the usual tripod mount under the power grip. In use, the A7 III shows the status of both batteries and you can still charge using the USB-C plug. Does add some weight to the camera, needless to say, but as someone with larger hands I found the extra depth allowed a better grip especially in portrait orientation. Most of the controls have a similar 'feel' to the camera except the 4-way jog which is noticeably 'clicky'. All in all, for £56 I'd say worth trying compared to the much more expensive Sony item.

Very good and cheap alternative to Sony. If you get a battery error, simply check that it is fastened well. I have been using it on my a7iii for 2 months now. Works brilliantly

Just what I was looking for without spending a fortune. Feels good, looks good, double battery life.

Love this product for photography with my A7iii. Feels great being able to shoot portrait with the grip and the extra battery life is great to have. When shooting video though (mostly 4K, but sometimes HD), the grip makes the camera overheat. I've tested this out and while using the camera to film without the grip, overheating isn't an issue. Just be careful when using it during video shoots and 100% don't film professional jobs for a long time with it on!

This fits the camera perfectly and is an absolute bargain at this price. Fitted out with two freshly charged batteries the performance is superb and the handling of the camera is noticeably better than without the grip fitted. Very very impressed and happy customer, would recommend to anyone.

Il bisogno è nato quando ho acquistato un Sony 70-200 f/4 OSS. Ho sentito improvvisamente piccola (ed io non ho le mani grandi) la mia Sony Alpha 7 III, nel senso che mi mancava l'appoggio nel mignolo e sentivo soprattutto il bisogno di qualcosa che rendesse più facile e naturale lo scatto in verticale. Ho acquistato il Neewer per il costo irrisorio e le recensioni positive e ho fatto bene a farlo perché ne sono molto soddisfatto. Il battery grip è pienamente compatibile con il battery grip originale, dal punto di vista ergonomico, nella logica di utilizzo e di ricarica delle 2 batterie, nella presenza di un vano in cui conservare lo sportellino delle batterie, nel numero e nella funzionalità dei pulsanti, nel feedback di questi ultimi e del joystick (che rappresentano una approssimazione molto buona di quello dato dai pulsanti e dal joystick del corpo macchina anche se non sono la stessa cosa). Insomma... si può usare bene e senza problemi. Inoltre ha un ottimo grip, è leggero e costa pochissimo. L'unico aspetto che all'inizio mi ha fatto preoccupare un po' è stata la levetta con cui aprire il vano batteria. In effetti è sottile e siccome va sollevata e ruotata, il timore inevitabile è che si possa spezzare. Tuttavia, si tratta solo di prenderci un po' la mano. Infatti dopo avere aperto e chiuso il vano una mezza dozzina di volte, già non ci penso più.

Perfect accessory to my a9. Of course it’s much cheaper and has cosmetic imperfections, however it’s hardly noticeable when compared to the benefit of working with an extra battery on deck. It does feel light and made of plastic, but when it’s locked onto the camera, it feels alright, lightweight but sturdy enough. I have two of these now and it’s the best bang for your buck. Works as it should. Shutter button definitely feels different from the camera button. But it’s clicky and works well. The buttons and dial work as they should as well. The grip is more rubbery than the camera’s leather like grip, however i like this better since it feels like it grips better in the hands, not slippery. To be real nit-picky, you can tell slightly that it’s a different material, finish and weight, however you’ll be the only one to know or even care LOL. The benefits far out-way the cons, imho. It’s also nice that there’s no giant visible logo like other third party brands.

I have a need for occasionally filming long sessions - beyond a single battery life, or when rigged in such a way that battery changes would take too long. A vertical battery grip would do the trick, but I could not justify the price of the Sony unit. Generally I buy the branded product for cameras and lenses, for warrantee and reliability. Having had a great Neewer light and an autocue, I decided to try their product offering for a verticle grip. It works fine, feels fine, matches the A7 appearance and the build quality is there. All the right buttons, and even having a place to store the normal battery door - just like the Real Thing. The big difference is the price. I don't know how Sony can justifying 10X the price! 縦位置グリップ欲しかったのですが、重くなるのが気になって購入を躊躇していたところ、純正ではなく、こちらのプラスチック製なら、大幅に軽いことに気づき購入しました。 結果として、縦撮りはしやすくなり、重さもあまり増えず、作りもしっかりしており大満足です。 確かに、ボタンやダイヤルの感触は少し違いますが、特に問題となるレベルではありません。 ちなみに他社製のレビューだと本体にくっつける時、力がいるとの記載が目立ちましたが、こちらの商品はスッと入りました。 一つだけ欠点としては、グリップを使用中、電池のフタを止めて置く、部分の穴が大きく、かかりが悪いです。 ただし、それも3点で止める内の1つだけなので、使用には問題なかったです。 純正の1/5の額で、僕の欲しかった機能は全てあって、最高のグリップでした。
