Critically-acclaimed Canadian ALT/R&B trailblazer The Weeknd and the initiative behind him, XO, have forged a strategic partnership with Republic Records. The artist/producer releases TRILOGY as part of this high-profile partnership. TRILOGY contains his highly lauded mix tapes, HOUSE OF BALLOONS, THURSDAY and ECHOES OF SILENCE, all mixed and mastered for the first time. In addition to the 27 original cuts, both the physical and digital editions will feature three new, unreleased songs. It's an impressive collection and the perfect introduction to his enigmatic and entrancing sound.

A VERY DISTINCTIVE SOUND AND SEXY AS HELL
All three cds are worth a listen and worth every penny . All three cds have some beautiful music, some that just seem to float you elsewhere- as another reviewer said this is night time music (most songs) - lie on the couch in dim light and really listen... A very distinctive sound, with an equally distinctive singer and many songs sexy as hell.to name a few these songs stand out for me: -Disc 1 - High for This, Wicked Games, House of Ballons, Loft Music, Twenty EightDisc 2 - Thursday, The Birds - Part 2, Rolling Stone, Valerie .Disc 3 - D.D. (Dirty Diana), Next, Loft Music, Echoes of Silence, Till Dawn, Outside. There are many more but these really stand out for me. For some the trilolgy is definitely a grower, for some who are already fans, its like listening to an old familiar friend , for others who admire Abel Tesfaye and know his style....they get it.Whichever category you fall into enjoy!

Spectacularly incredible
All three discs on this album are simply masterpieces. Abel's voice is too incredible to put into words and the whole sound of the album is amazing. The thing I think that I love the most about this album, though, is the lyrics. Abel produces a sort of very interesting, dark, dystopian view of love due to his cold, emotionless personality, and also due to all the women he sleeps with doing it for his fame and the drugs. My advice would be to bring up the lyrics whilst you're listening, when you can, and then you can fully appreciate the music, as the meaning of the songs are often heavily veiled in deep metaphors which may not be obvious at first listen.I often find myself relating to the emotionless, twisted personality that Abel portrays himself as having and alongside his indescribably good singing talent, this album just becomes something unique and perfect that I would 100% recommend to anyone, no matter what genre they favour.

Cd works but box in bad condition
The CD seems to work okay but I am a little disappointed with the packaging. I understand the description explains it won’t be in new condition however there is lots of rips and marks and one of the booklets is bent. There are other marks inside the case as well but it will not allow me to upload more photos and they are not as bad. This is to be given as a present as it is so hard to find new (if anyone knows where I can get it new that would be great).

Wow, best album I've heard over the last 5 years!
Excellent trilogy, whilst I like quite a wide range of music, the type that hits me the most is big bass lines, atmospheric soundtracks and beautiful vocals, these three CDs have all of that in bucket loads. I've just gone through rating each song on my computer, mostly 5s and the odd 4 out of 5, nothing drops below that. The only gripe could be that it's all a bit samey, however, I like this kind of music. I'll be listening to it every day now for a while...
