Great for Cooking But Not for Sautéing or Reheating
If you're looking for a reliable kitchen appliance, this pressure cooker is a good choice. Generally speaking, pressure cookers excel at preparing juicy meats, perfectly steamed vegetables, and delicious grains like oatmeal. However, they aren't the best option for reheating leftovers. Overcooking can turn chicken rubbery and veggies mushy, which can be a problem. To strike the right balance when reheating, I recommend pressure cooking your food for zero to one minute, followed by a five-minute natural release for meats and an immediate release for vegetables. For that final touch, a quick two minutes in the microwave for meat and one minute or less for vegetables works well to achieve the perfect temperature. It's important to note that sautéing in a pressure cooker is not advisable. The cleanup can be challenging, and the results are often disappointing compared to traditional methods. In summary, use your cooking tools for their intended purposes. Pots and pans are ideal for certain tasks, while the pressure cooker excels with moist dishes, grains, and vegetables. The wok is perfect for stir-frying, and the microwave is unbeatable for quick reheats. By diversifying your kitchen repertoire, you'll achieve the best results. While I can't compare this particular pressure cooker with others I've yet to try, I can say that this one is easy to use, simple to clean, and offers a hassle-free cooking experience. If you’re considering adding a pressure cooker to your kitchen, this is a good one to have.

Excellent product...when it actually works. Stopped working after 6 weeks. (UPDATE!)
Update 3 (June 19, 2020) I finally received a perfect, working unit from Zavor. I cannot really complain about their customer service during this process as they were quite responsive to my concerns and sent out units until we received one that satisfied us. The new unit works as expected and again lives up to its reputation. I can now happily add that Zavor's customer service matches what you should expect from such a high-quality product. 5-stars from me, to now include the customer service experience. Update 2 (June 11, 2020) After much back-and-forth with the Zavor rep, I finally received a replacement unit today. We opened it up and turned it on and it worked! But it was DENTED!!! I will be sending the old, broken unit back tomorrow (thankfully, they provided a pre-paid shipping label for us). But we will be requesting yet another unit to replace this DENTED one. Because the unit actually works, I'm still only going give it 2-stars because I now have to deal with a DENTED unit. I will likely give it more stars once this gets resolved. Until it does...2-stars. I know Zavor can do better. Keep posted. Update 1 (June 5, 2020) I got a response from a Zavor representative via e-mail yesterday. She asked me for information regarding me and the defective unit (i.e., registration info, invoice, photos of unit and serial number, etc.), which I promptly sent. Have not received any response yet. Unit still doesn't work. Until it does, the 1-star rating remains... Keep posted. June 3, 2020 I read many reviews for this product. I never heard of Zavor before, so I had no clue about that company's reputation. But the rave reviews for the LUX LCD (ZELL02) persuaded me to purchase it back in April of this year (2020). It worked as expected and did wonderfully. I even went to Zavor's website and purchased another stainless steel pot. All the reviews regarding how well performs were spot on. Then, just yesterday (June 3, 2020), it just stopped working. No sign of life whatsoever. No beeps, lights, noise, nothing. I went to the Zavor website to troubleshoot. It recommended plugging in the cord properly, which of course I did numerous times. I even used other outlets. Still nothing. I called the Zavor phone number listed on the Warranty Info and was told that any repairs, service, or replacements are "temporarily delayed." Bummer. So, for now, I can only give this product what it deserves: 1 Star. It should actually be zeros stars but there is no option for that. I will hopefully provide the product with more stars and a more favorable review when the product actually works again, but that, of course, will have to be "temporarily delayed."

LOVE this cooker!
I LOVE this cooker! It’s been well thought out - simple to use and consistently excellent cooking both in the slow cook and pressure cook modes. Quality construction. Nothing has ever burned or stuck to the stainless steel pot. I bought the 8 qt so I could make a large amount of chicken soup even though most of the time I’m just cooking for one. Love the removable cord, initially I was not sticking it in hard enough but once I did, it firmly attached and I don’t have another cord on my counter when I’m not using it. The lid always goes on and off easily. Cleaning is not hard and I do clean the lid thoroughly each time I use it. Customer service was excellent when I had the occasion to contact them - I talked to a friendly person who was very helpful. I would highly recommend the Zavor. It exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier! 😀

JUST SAY NO...BUMMED THAT I HAVE TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW...
ok folks at zavor, i'm glad you tried, I really am. that said, I am just saying "no" to your current pot. I've been using a variety of multi cookers for some time now, saying that to establish i'm not a newbie, let's go forward. at first try, it was very hard to get the plug to plug into the pot....eventually it was plugged in. however, on my second try, it again remained hard to plug...this w/the knowledge that I already knew it was tricky. in an effort to understand the pot and it's functions, i decided to simply play around w/a pot of water. yes, eventually i got to where the water was decently boiling. filled it up a few times and just let it steam for a while. but then.... when i took out the pot the whole bottom was pitted, it had the rainbow look to it. this is no quality pot... and i wouldn't trust the food cooked in the thing. I've posted a pic of the pitting. the pic is a little blacker than reality, but you can clearly see the pitting. one could try and say it's my water source.....well, i have pots SS pots from a lot of other multicookers here and not one of them ever did this. and no, it wasn't cooked dry, i had a LOT of water in the pot. the second pic is one i took AFTER i went ahead and wiped it down, but still felt kinda rough inside the pot, so then decided to wash w/soap and water and dry. you can see the black on the paper i used to dry the thing. anyone here want to cook in that pot now? thought not. so, ok, the thing boiled water and destroyed my pot is issue number 1. that was it's first use. but going on to function, style or just looks which is subjective to all of us is the following: 1. there is no hole in the handle like the instapot has where you can put your lid into to keep it next to the pot and off the counter; 2. the LCD area looks like someone simply fabricated a metal box and stuck it to the pot. you look at the IP and you at least have a nice plastic border around the thing; 3. i go back the plug being really hard to plug into the pot...just off somehow. eventually I couldn't get the thing to even come back on...plug issue not connecting? I dunno. so again zavor, i'm glad you decided to try and redeem things from your old company, i'm glad you are trying.... but folks, it's back to the board w/this thing.... at minimum get a quality pot for the thing.

Works great. Replaced my pressure cooker. Totally great for set it and forget it recipes. Works well as a steamer. About 4 years old and I'd buy it again.

THE BEST OF THE BEST
I used a pressure cooker from another company for years with great success. When I saw the versatility of this model ZAVOR, I was impressed, but the price was higher than I was willing to pay. This model is far superior to the pressure cooker I already used. When this item went on sale, I grabbed it. I am thrilled with my purchase. The added versatility of this machine makes cooking easier and more precise. I would repurchase this.
