The Works Key Stage 1

I love these books, and this one is no exception. It contains a great mix of poems suitable for this age group and includes quite a few traditional nursery rhymes. Working in a multicultural school, we find that the children need to be taught these rhymes at school and this book has been a godsend for me as I struggled to remember back to my childhood! Very useful and at timees, insprational.

Very, very good book. I would argue that many poems go beyond KS1 in terms of language and syntax - I will be taking it with me to KS2 in September.The way the book is plit into different purposes of poem is great. So too is the range of indices, e.g. by first line, by title etc.

Useful classroom resource and 'go to' poetry book.

The book is fine BUT my name was not on the package label. It only had the name and address of my school so no one knew whose package it was! If I hadn't done some serious detective work I wouldn't have found it . The previous book must have been lost the same way - no name on the label - which is why I never received it and you had to refund my money.Caroline Holland

Packed full of poems but my only complaint is that I wish it had a quicker way to look things up than the index. Good book.
