Pretty good book
So far this book is pretty good. I really like the choice of genre that it covers. Being a rock/metal guitarist that wants to look into jazz this seems like a good segue. I am less fond of the emphasis on sweep picking. I am wanting to focus more on how to use arpeggios in a melodic improvisational context than just fast notes, so it makes it hard to play along to some of the track since I haven't focused on that technique a lot. Minor theory knowledge is required to get the most out of the book. Knowledge of scale and chord formula and a decent idea of modes is really good to have. Luckily you can just find a few quick videos on youtube to learn that.

A must have for the Metal/Rock guitarist arsenal!
I'm primarily a metal and rock guitarist and love the Neoclassical style. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and I am always on the lookout for professional quality instructional books, videos etc. I discovered Chris Brooks through his first book, Neoclassical Speed Strategies for guitar and it's become one of my most top prized instructional on Neoclassical guitar. As a huge Yngwie fan its a must have. I then purchased his second book, Sweep Picking speed strategies for guitar which is another masterful must have book. And now we have Advanced Arpeggio soloing for guitar. This is another must have and I must say its quite challenging and so much fun! This book has everything from very creative phrases and licks, arpeggio exercises, sweep picking and tapping lines, triad instruction etc. There is a wealth of knowledge in this book and a great tool to take your playing to the next level!

Provides the knowledge to finally use arpeggios in a useful, musical manner
Okay, so you've gotten your sweep picking up to speed with Sweep Picking Speed Strategies for Guitar and you're a master with exercises and drills, but where do you go now? Advanced Arpeggio Soloing for Guitar answers that question. If Speed Strategies improves your typing speed, Advanced Arpeggio Soloing gives you something to write about. This book is great for improving your knowledge of arpeggio usage and vocabulary. You'll learn useful tips, tricks, shapes, and patterns but, most importantly, you'll learn how to use arpeggios in musical contexts and not just as handy exercises.I'm not your stereotypical sweep picker or a "shredder" (but I'm trying!) and I still found plenty of useful information in this book because the overall focus is on the end product: music.Highly recommended!

Exceeded my expectations
If you purchase this listen to a few of the audio tracks before starting. It will motivate you to jump into this arpeggio study. If you are into advanced concepts of arpeggios, this is a must have

Another Great Book By Chris
I have virtually purchased all of Chris' books and for good reason. They are excellent resources and skill builders. As I heard Claus Levin once say, "most guitarist rise to an intermediate level and never move beyond that". The reasoning is we never work on things that challenge us beyond our abilities. Once the getting gets touch, we move on to something else. All of Chris' books will challenge you beyond your abilities. Pick this one up and all of his others, you won't be disappointed. A book (Kindle) for $10, wow you can't get many professional guitar lessons for that price. And trust me, this book will be teaching you for years.

Excellent Study Book
This book isn't for the novice guitarist. It is for the top end of intermediate and advanced player.I can honestly say that I haven't enjoyed a book of this sort so much in a long while. It's a bloody brilliant study, to the point that I'm about half way through it and I really don't want it to end!! I've learnt a lot and gained a lot of idea's to assimilate into my own playing. There's a good amount of material here and it's easily worth the asking price. I bought it on Kindle, which is obviously a bargain price anyway. In fact my only criticism is that some of the TAB's don't come out as good as you'd like on the Kindle laptop app. That's more a criticism of the app than the book though and can be got around through resizing the book in app.Anyway, should you get it? If you're of the fore mentioned level of playing I wouldn't hesitate. This is by far one of my favourite guitar learning books to date.

Excellent Book
All Chris's Books are top-quality instruction with attention to detail and audio supplements. The last two focused on tacking techniques people gave struggled unsuccessfully for years with (Speed Picking and Sweeping). This book is a bit different it offers an insight into how to use Arpeggios as a more integral and natural part of your guitar playing (not just running through etudes). This is accomplished by some clever and sophisticated music concepts and theories delivered in a away that wont make you head fall off and are applicable to all music style.

Great Book to expand your soloing knowledge
Only got this book a few days ago but already I can see the difference it makes to my soloing. A comprehensive approach to broadening your skills, with easy to follow steps. The audio is great and gives you the opportunity to sharpen up your technique. This is the fourth book I have purchased from Fundamental Changes and I can honestly say that they have been excellent. My musical understanding and playing has become so much better, having lots of fun. Recommend these to anyone, many thanks

It Ain't Easy
This book is not for the faint hearted. But if you start slowly and make sure that you're relaxed you can make progress. I'm now playing things that I never dreamed I'd be able to before I got this book.
