Easy to use and great sound with a ton of features.
I have owned other digital Internet radios, but the Ocean Digital WR230S is a step above the rest. I bought it because it can connect over WiFi, Bluetooth or Ethernet and it also has an aux in port. The stereo sound is crystal clear and I could access all of my favorite stations from overseas. I have lived in Ireland, France and South Africa and it is super easy to connect to the stations I used to listen to when I lived in those countries. There are so many stations you can listen to and there are no fees or additional costs. You can also play music from your phone using bluetooth. And, there is an aux out port that you can connect to any larger stereo system. It comes with an antenna so you can listen to local FM radio stations if you want, or you can access the same stations using the internet connection. With so many options I feel like this is a better use of my money than subscribing to Spotify or Apple Music. I can get news from my favorite places or listen to any genre of music, all for free. I ordered it via prime and and had it set up in about five minutes and connected it to my wifi network. With more than 20,000 stations to choose from it will take me a long time to explore every station. I have it set up in my office and the sleek design looks good on my credenza.

Inexpensive internet radio with lots of features and good sound.
Good low cost internet radio. Lots of features for the cost. The Skytune.net internet portal provides the list of internet stations for this radio. I would highly recommend that you go to the Skytune.net portal and look over the station list before purchasing to make sure you can get the stations you want. No login or account is needed. You do not have to register your radio ID code with the site...it just does it automatically. There is also a method of going to the radio's IP address on your LAN and manually adding the URL of a radio stream to the memory of the radio favorites list. Good luck figuring those out if you are not an internet IT pro as they are not clearly apparent on most websites. If you go to the Skytune.net web portal there is a link for "suggest station" You can give the URL of the station website and they will add it to the list. I had several stations in the nearby area that were not on skytune. I went through the suggest station process and within 12 hours I got an email from someone at skytune.net that they had been added to the station list. I was impressed by this quick service. So Skytune is a lot better than I thought at first because their list of stations was smaller than some others I checked. You have to use the Skytune portal with this radio. The FM tuner is reasonably sensitive. I was able to get clear reception on a couple of stations 50 miles away. This radio puts all your favorite stations, FM tuning and Internet, into the same "favorites" folder. I find that to be a nice feature. Select the favorite and it automatically goes into the correct mode, FM or Internet streaming to tune it in. I have never had that on the radios I had before. You had to select FM or the internet. Someone asked if the radio has a US power adapter plug to US addresses. YES. The picture on Amazon showed a European plug. Mine came with the correct USA two bladed 120 volt plug adapter. The built in speakers appear to be about 3 inches in diameter. The wooden case looks like black painted plywood which has been formed into a box. The finish is not piano black smooth, it has a woody grain texture to it. The power adapter cable is only about 3.5 feet or a little over a meter long. The clock display can be left on even if the radio is playing, some don't do that. Bluetooth works great to stream music from my Android based phone.

Great Radio For Streaming BBC Stations At The Office
Update:I've used this radio every day for about four months now and it has performed flawlessly! Because I've been so pleased with it, I'm about to purchase the Ocean Digital WiFi portable/handheld version to use when I'm working around the house. I'm so glad I decided to give these radios a chance!Original Review:I've been very pleased with this radio during the two weeks that I've owned it. I have two other internet radios- both are Grace Digital Mondo models. The Mondo has served me well for several years now at home, so when I wanted a radio for the office, I searched out another Mondo for the purpose. It worked for a while but I got frustrated with the volume control- it's odd and very cumbersome to adjust quickly when someone walks in to talk business. I saw this one with the big volume knob centred in front and decided to try it out. The station access is very different from the Grace radios- there's no slick "front end," but I had it figured out and set up with the presets I wanted in about 20 minutes. The SkyTune site is basic but perfectly functional. The same is true of the web interface for controlling the radio. One thing I REALLY like is the fact that the radio actually has an RJ-45 Ethernet interface built-in (in addition to WiFi). Anybody who's struggled with the USB adapter that the Grace radios require for a hard-wired setup will appreciate the ease of just having a port built-in. The sound is better than I was expecting and I can instantly reach the volume knob and turn it down when I need to-- essential for an office/professional type of environment. I mainly listen to the BBC radio streams and SkyTune has all of them already listed including the multiple versions of each (high bitrate, low bitrate, international, UK only, etc...) so it was easy to get them added to my presets. You should check the Skytune website for stations beforehand if there are specific ones that you want to be sure they are included. Others have covered the features in detail, so I'll just say that I'm very pleased with my purchase and consider this radio a real value for the price! Happy streaming...

support provided by OceanDigital
Came in unsealed package. Did not include attachment to plug in to power. OceanDigital says that should be shipped with radio. The best thing is the support provided by OceanDigital, without whom I would have been stumped.
