Briggs & Stratton 692051 Spark Plug Replacement for Models 499608 and 692051

Bought mower off Marketplace that would start right up, but then after a minute would hiccup, sputter, gag, then die. Replaced the spark plug and filter and now it runs like a scalded dog. Giddy Up.

Great product and service

Plug arrived with perfect factory-spec gap of 0.020. I used it in a B&S-powered pressure washer I acquired for dirt cheap because it seemed to have some "engine issues." The engine was experiencing start-and-stall issues and sounded like it was knocking, so I was prepared to do a full rebuild on it. However, when I got it home and first started looking at things, I quickly found that the plug that was in the machine when I bought it was not the correct plug type. The specs were off and it was gapped inappropriately for this engine. I was skeptical that something as simple as replacing a spark plug would bring this engine back to life, but to my amazement this thing now starts first pull and purrs like a kitten, no more knocking. I'm certainly not saying that a spark plug will fix every engine problem, but if you are having problems with rough running and find your plug is worn or otherwise not appropriate for your engine, it's a quick and easy place to start.

was same size as old one. The spark gap was set and did not need adjustment. Motor started on first pull with this new plug installed. Very good and easy replacement job.

I needed the carburetor, but bought the "kit" because the spark plug looked like what I needed. In fact, the spark plug I received was quite different from the picture and was not of any use to me. But the carb worked out very well, so I will still give a favorable review.

Arrived at factory recommended 0.20" for my Husqvarna self-propelled lawn mower. Installed the product and cranked on the first pull and ran great. Totally worth the small price to have genuine Briggs & Stratton parts.

Exact replacement for my generator oem spark plug. I did not adjust the gap as it looked about right. Generator started first pull after installation.
