Flavor is just fine! Ingredients are super good for you! I loved it! The ONLY thing I could suggest is to not take their word that it completely dissolved by just stirring the product into your liquid of choice. I use almond milk. I needed a whisk or a shaker cup to remove all the lumps from the drink to make it smooth. The powder is super fine and the taste is GOOD. I have plenty of energy I didn’t have before after using this for a week now. I am definitely going to purchase another jar of this magic stuff once I’ve finished the one I have now. This product almost literally saved my life! I didn't realize how severely depleted I was until my friend began making me these shakes in the morning. After one week of a shake every morning, I am a different person! I have greatly renewed energy and a more positive outlook because I feel so much stronger. It was during a move when I started this and I would not have made it without my Alive! Protein shake! FYI: I freeze fresh fruit and add it to my blender, which gives a luscious thickness and smooth taste. Don't hesitate to buy & try this product, if you can tolerate soy protein. If you cannot or do not want to eat soy, they have a Pea Protein shake mix too, which is just as flavorful as the soy, but with no soy product included. Enjoy!

I love this shake, it definitely gives me lots of energy and gets me though the day. I feel so much better on the days that I drink it. I have to use it in the blender with ice and half a banana, makes it smooth and easy to drink. I bought a small personal blender that I can use in the morning and just take the container with me in the car. I have been using this product for several years and it definitely has made a difference!

First, I use this as a supplement and will review it as such. I am not sure how they come up with flavors as I have purchased both Vanilla and Chocolate and cant for the life of me taste either. The Vanilla is much better than the chocolate. The chocolate is just a bitter brown version of the vanilla with a texture that is less inviting (if that is actually possible). I gave the chocolate 2 stars due the taste ,lack of "instant" mix and price. The vanilla I give 4 stars as it is palatable, nutritious and cost effective.Taste: Well, the vanilla is sweet and not "unpleasant" and the sweetness in NOT from an artificial sweetener. I drink 1/2 glass at a time and I just down it. I feel like it gives me the nutrition I need and it stops most of the mid day cravings if you are trying to lose weight.Smell: The smell is somewhat reminiscent of Play Dough. I have to remove the glass as soon as drinking or the Play Dough smell lingers all day making me feel I just drank some clay.Texture: The shake is green and looks like sea weed. It says "Mixes instantly" and I have never seen this MIX even over 10 minutes. I dont like the "foamy" texture that a blender gives this so I spend the 10 minutes mashing all the lumps out. There is a grittiness/slime texture that I handle but gulping quickly.Nutrition: The label says it all. I had to go to their web site to get all the information. This is packed with so much that I wont list (read label) but I like that it has FIBER, low calorie, and Non-GMO Solae soy protein along with the all nutrients.Final: If you are looking for a diet supplement that helps with cravings or if you exercise a lot and want to fill any gaps, this is a great product. The taste, though strange, isn't unpleasant and the texture is a bit odd and it smells like Play Dough. But you wont get an all around "meets - all - needs" product without some flaws.

I love this stuff. The taste is something to get used to but I add a banana and just chug it. Helps the digestive system and I feel great.

I love this stuff. Tastes great. It says it’s packed with vitamins and minerals. Please be sure to check the expiration date when you buy off the shelf. I use half a scoop for a tall large glass of milk, since I believe protein drinks can be fattening. My overall favorite protein drink is MetRx, but this is very close.

This is my first time trying a protein shake and I read an article that soy would be better for me than whey. I figured Alive would be a great brand to try given it's reputation. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I decided to make it into a smoothie, mixing it with milk and adding in a banana and some frozen fruit. I drink green smoothies all the time, so I was hoping it'd go down as easy. I seriously am having a very hard time swallowing this. I'm drinking it right now and am half way through and am to the point I've tortured myself long enough and am dumping the rest. The taste is just awful. It's very chalky and I don't taste any of the fruit. The supposed vanilla flavor is far from vanilla!!! I've heard such great things about protein shakes. Hoping another brand won't be as bad.

I don't like vegetables, so am terrible at eating them, and while I like fruit, don't eat it enough. I thought this would be a great nutritional supplement. First off the scoop size is about a quarter cup, which is a lot for 8oz of milk. Second of all, it tastes weird. I added half a scoop to 8oz of milk, then poured it over my honey nut cheerios. I figured vanilla milk would just make my cereal taste better, but it doesn't really taste very vanilla like. It definitely has a healthy taste to it, which isn't horrible, but definitely not enjoyable. If you really want to add a little health to your day, I think it's great. If you want something that tastes awesome, no.
