It does exactly what I wanted
I was looking for something that will give a very very fine grind for making Turkish style coffee after my daughter brought me some beans back from her holidays. It does a lovely job getting the fine, almost powder like, grind I wanted and with a small adjustment does just as well with coarser grinds for espresso or filter use.I plan on using this both at home and in my camper so it`s going to be very useful. The top part is made from strong plastic, is nicely textured giving a nice feel and makes it easier to hold when grinding with the silicon cover to stop your beans from popping out, although its easy to move out the way to put them in.The handle is sturdy and the knob is large enough to not catch your fingers. The jars are made from thick glass one with a lid made from the same plastic as the top that seems pretty airtight and is a neat way to take beans with you when you go away. They also have a neat silicon cover for the base of the one used on the grinder that helps stop it from slipping about on a worktop.I think that it is certainly good value for the price, I`m very pleased with mine.It does have something that can be seen as a down side to it, the time it takes. as it is a mill it doesn`t want to be turned to fast to avoid generating heat, something that can spoil the taste of the coffee and possibly damage the burs. I think the seller says that it takes around 150 turns for an espresso so it`s not going to be quick but it does it job very well. I`ve done a bit more than that, I drink coffee very strong probably around double the normal so it did take a few minutes but the result was worth it.

Simple design, very effective
I began looking for an electric coffee grinder, but sensed to choose this one and I’m glad I did. I would like to list the following in terms of review:Packaged nicelyGrinder is simple to use and materials robustUsing to grind herbs for preparations, like the feature where I can adjust to produce a fine to courser textureVery easy to clean, not too many partsBrilliant idea to include an extra glass storage jarLike the fact that the jars are made from glassA simple but really effective tool, really loved using it. I actually ground peppercorns on the fine setting.

Quiet, Fast, Easy To Clean, Durable, Adjustable and Consistent Consistency. 100% Recommended!
I normally write pros, cons and a bottom line with my review - but seeing as this product only 1 review of 4 stars and I am simply chuffed with it I am going to write pros- and bonus pros as to why this manual grinder is superior to an electric one.Pros:+Very Durable- the product feels excellent- like I could own this till I am 50 + (I am 25 now)+Easy to Clean: I cleaned it out with a sponge - there are only a few but crucial parts -everything is either glass, ceramic, plastic or stainless steel.+Consistent Grind: All the particles come out at the same consistency.+Great value: I bought this for 10 pounds- considering the quality of the parts this is exceptional value.Bonus Pros (compared to an electric grinder):+Quiet: My previous electric grinder was like a buzz saw every morning and yes you feel powerful revving it- and yes the loudness would wake me up- but honestly the whole thing just contributed to an anxiety I associate with drinking coffee.+The Grind is extra consistent and more precise: my electric grinder didnt even have a consistency setting so I would usually get a powder like consistency and larger chunks. Consistent grind= better coffee. Adjustable Grind= Better coffee the way YOU want it.+Grinding coffee manually is therapeutic.+A lot easier to clean: On my electric grinder the powdery bits would stick to the crevices in my grinder and make switching to a different coffee a pain. not to mention always having to scrape out all the finer particles.+This grinder was 10 pounds and my electric grinder was 15.The bottom Line(s): This grinder puts coffee consumption into a new league by offering exceptional value for high quality parts which allow you grind coffee beans quietly, with consistent consistency, and exactly to your preference, which is through and through superior to any electric grinder I have ever owned. Also a kicker being that this grinder takes just about as long as an electric one anyway. You cant miss with this.

A fantastic and super-cheap grinder!
I recently decided that I was going to try grinding my own coffee at home, so after much reading of reviews I decided to go with one of these as they're pretty much an exact copy of the much more expensive and highly lauded Japanese grinder, the Hario Skerton.I've zero experience of using other coffee grinders so I can't give comparisons, but what I can say is that this thing is super-easy to use, is easily cleanable, offers adjustment from coarse to fine grinds and feels really well made. There's a rubber lip covering the top which allows you to easily put coffee beans into it, the grinding mechanism feels solid and sturdy and you get two small glass jars with it; one for your grinds to go into and another for storing beans if you plan to grind on the go. The grinding mechanism is quiet and smooth too, and makes easy work of the Illy beans I got as my first foray into coffee beans. There's enough room in the grinder for two cups of coffee, so you might want to get something a bit bigger if you're making coffee for more, but this size suits me fine.Considering it's price and the quality offered by this grinder, I would say that it's definitely recommended!
