There are a few who move toward the sounds of anarchy ready to respond at a moment’s notice. And when the time comes, they are the first to move toward the sound of tyranny in justice and in despair. They are forged in the crucible of training. They are the few, the proud.Founded on Nov. 10, 1775, the U.S. Marine Corps has been involved in every armed conflict in history of the United States. The US Marine Corps traces its roots from Continental Marines of the American Revolutionary War and is one of the five sectors of the American Armed Forces. With over 200,000 active-duty Marines, it is the United States’ smallest armed forces in the Department of Defense. However, the Marine Corps is larger than many significant military powers, including the British Army.In the over 200 year history of the U.S. Marines, one watch was developed as the only timepiece offered to bear the badge of the U.S. Marines. All of the watches are powered by Swiss movements and are tested to be taken at least 200 meters below sea level. Synonymous with the well-known slogan “the few, the proud” all watches are available in limited quantities. The men's Wrist Armor U.S. Marine Corps C20 Watch features a solid watch case with combination finish that measures 50mm wide and is 15mm thick. This stylish watch also features a bold black dial with the Marine Corps logo, sharp white hour markers, matching hands and is powered by a precision Japanese quartz movement. A black rubber strap adds style and comfort to this unique timepiece. Each Wrist Armor U.S. Marine Corps watch is brand new, comes with a Marines branded gift box and has a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

Great watch for OLD MARINES
I almost love this watch, I do have a very strong affection for it! It is large enough to read without specs yet still doesn't weigh as much as a M-14 like some large dial watches. The only thing that didn't give me a tingly feeling in my nether region is the strap restraints. They are way to weak to hold back the awesomeness that is the Marine Tough band. However I did adapt and overcome, I changed them out for two 7/8x5/8/1/8 O-Rings problem solved.

Worth it
Great watch, heavy, big and well crafted. No backlight but not a deal breaker. Pretty cool a portion of proceeds goes to helping military families. As a former Marine, I can wear with pride.

Not my Cup of Tea
Was returned, it was a nice looking watch but the unit is really big but the strap leaves a lot to be desired.

Devil in the details.
Really nice watch, but the face of the watch is huge. No one needs a watch face this big unless you are a rapper and want to advertise your bling. A smaller face would have been a better and would interfere with shirt cuffs.

*Almost* 5 stars.
I *really* wanted to give this 5 stars. I really did. But, there are several things holding me back.First, I realize you get what you pay for. I know this isn't a $400 designer watch for $40. This is a VERY solid $40 watch with some great features. So I'm trying to be impartial and review this as a $40 and not a $400 watch. The watch is very nice. It's sturdy. Heavy. Large. And manly. The very visible Marines logo is a nice touch. The red accented second hand and dial are a great touch as well. There's some great detail in this and the watch hands seem solid enough that I'm not afraid they'll stop working. The very small etched USMC logo on the metal band is a nice little added feature. Setup is quick and easy as there is no date to choose. I should have done a little more research though before I dropped the money. Not because it doesn't have $400 watch features, but because there are some other great options for about the same price. For example, I lulled over this one and the Casio MDV106-1A (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009KYJAJY?colid=1R3ZXKZVLEKQE&coliid=I2XXK1O0RTT2OH&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl).After receiving this watch, I noticed one thing I'm a bit disappointed about: no illumination. Not even glow in the dark digits. The Casio at least has glow in the dark digits and hands. The watch band doesn't bother me. It's actually a great silicone band. I was going to replace it anyways; but the lack of illumination bothers me.The Casio is $47.46 as of this writing and for $7 more you get the following:- illumination- stainless steel bezel VS "metal"- stainless steel case VS "brass"- waterproof up to 660 ft VS 165 ft (granted, you probably won't buy the USMC watch as a dive watch, but a higher rating for waterproof means things are a LOT more enclosed, which equals added security)- more options for a 22 mm watch band than a 24 mm watch bandOn the flip side, the Casio's crystal is raised slightly above the bezel which means it could be prone to chips and scratches. The USMC watch has a crystal that is a bit recessed into the bezel, which I like. The only reason I'm comparing this watch to the Casio is for a few reasons. Most of the time, when people buy things (at least I do), is compare it to X. For the size, price, style, and features, the Casio comes very close to this watch. So I used that as a comparison. And to me, for $7.47 more, you get more. Just my opinion.Don't get me wrong, this is a SOLID watch and great for the price. But for me, I'll be returning it for the Casio.Summary....Like:- Solid and manly!- Great military detail - down to the USMC emblem and the screws in the bezel- recessed crystal slightly below the bezel- Nice little detail of the USMC emblem on the clasp- Easy setup and easy to read the time (i.e. no fancy numbering system)- Nice red accentsNo Like:- No illumination- "Brass" case (when the paint starts to chip away or wear off, that brass will tarnish and metal will rust)- "Metal" bezel
