Confussing
Good book, the contents are not written properly. It's very difficult, don't know which is the main topics and subtopics in the contents, it's very confusing.

Just an awful book
Whoever wrote this garbage should not be writing books, everything is explained in the most haphazard way. The book organization is just a mess, and this book is barely comprehensible. I bought this because of a course. Regretted when I purchased it, regretted it again after using it.

The book as a product from amazon is perfect, the book itself as a reading material is not that good
The book is almost new!Though I have to say this book itself is not a well-organized one. The semiconductor theory is kind of confusing since it uses approximations from time to time. Thus there are two kinds of books available in the market, one focuses on the concepts, and the other goes deep into the theories including a lot of computations. Obviously this book intends to be the second kind, but it fails to go that deep in the theory, I mean it still skip some essential processes during proof which makes it hard to follow. But since it introduces so many mathematics, the concepts themselves become vague especially for those beginners. In conclusion, I guess the author meant to write a graduate level book, but he did not have time to clarify every thing, so it is not enough for a graduate students focusing on this topic, at the same time, this is not a good introduction for undergraduate students who just have interests in this region but not willing to know too much. If you already know a lot about semiconductors, this book can serve as a material for a quick recap.I bought this one simply because it is the required textbook of my graduate course and I need it to finish the homework.Anyway, the product itself should not be blamed. The book is in good condition. The delivery is pretty quick. So I gave 4 stars.

Good Condition. Except the text...
The condition of the book was great no problems there at all.The text itself is technical to a fault though. Few examples in places and somewhat of a thick read.overall not that bad for a Text book.

Solid State Physics background required
The book is written with the assumption that the student already has a solid-state physics background. While the first 1/3 of the book is devoted to the explanation of semiconductor creation methods, mathematics and tradeoffs, the author does a very poor job of accurately explaining material. He rarely offers units for each of his equations listed in the book and does not always tell the reader what each of the variables in the equations represent. Without Wikipedia on hand to help, I never would have gotten past chapter 2."The homework problems are less to help the reader understand the material and more to show the reader how inadequate they are (and how intelligent the author is)." This quotation from the class professor, not myself. The exercises are poorly written (ambiguous) and the authors inconsistencies in vocabulary throughout the text makes doing them harder.
