I love it for my RX100 II and its so so ...
I love it for my RX100 II and its so so much more cost effective than Sony's option. Love that I can use all my HX300's filters without having to invest in all of them again! It's small, sticks on and is quite sturdy! I love it!

Overall Happy
This is a well made device that overall I'm happy with. My only gripe is that it seems to be slightly thicker then it actually needs to be (see below for why that matters). It appears they are using a standard off the shelf step up ring and slapping a magnet on it. I would be happy to pay a few bucks more for something more purpose built and thinner. I looked around the internet quite a bit for opinions on whether to get the 52mm, 55mm, or 58mm for my RX100 M5 and found some varying info but not quite what I was seeking so gambled with the 55mm. Here are my thoughts, hopefully it can help someone else.TLDR if you want to stack filters get the 58mm if you are only ever going to use a single filter 55mm is fine. The 55mm is just a hair larger then the control ring which is great since you can still place the camera on a table or other flat surface without the MagFilter hitting. I don't have the 58mm but suspect this is not something you could do with that model. The problem with the MagFilter being so thick is even though a 55mm filter is far larger then the lens on the RX100, the MagFilter positions the filter so far away from the lens that when you have the zoom at its widest setting (24mm) you have to start worrying about vignetting. I will say I have found no issues when using a single filter. If I want to stack a CPL and an ND filter (as I often do for landscapes which are also typically wide angle shots) that is a different story. Some combinations I have to zoom in as far as 29mm before the vignetting disappears. The best I could do is a Hoya Fusion CPL and Kenko Zeta ND8 combination. These are both super slim frame filters and even when stacking these I experience vignetting up to about 26mm. Of course this may not matter to some folks. I personally wish the RX100 had a slightly wider zoom so hate having to lose any of it on landscape shots. Also in my search for info I found some people asking if or claiming that the 49mm threaded MagFilter works with the RX100; there is no way at least the current version works. I have that model for my S100 and the adhesive ring that attaches to the camera isn't even large enough to clear the lens cover.Overall like I said I'm happy with the product and think its well made. The magnet holds very well, and I love that when you take the MagFilter off the adhesive ring adds almost zero thickness to the camera. Some might find my analysis nit picky and some might find the points I made of zero concern with how they intend to use it. If so you will probably consider it a 5 out 5 stars.

Makes your Sony RX100 even more versitile!
I bought this MagFilter for my Sony RX100 and I love it. The magnetic ring that attaches to the front is almost hidden and the filter attaches to it firmly. I was afraid at first I might lose it, but I don't see that happening. The pouch that comes with the adapter is nice, but I just store the filter in my camera bag.a

Works great on my Canon G15 but can get bumped off
I bought this to use on a recent cruise and for Arizona desert photography and it worked just great! I only wish the magnets were stronger because it felt like it could get bumped off too easily, so I was constantly protecting my G15 when walking. I have it set up with the cheap Vivitar 3-piece filter set and leave the UV and Polarizer on it. All pics came out great! I'm glad I bought this setup... it's one of the only ways to add filters to a P&S.

55mm ring on my G15 Absolutely Fantastic!!!
I just bought this for my G15, so far it has proved to be absolutely Fantastic! The ring that fits on the body is an exact fit so carefully place them. As long as that is done right, you shouldn't get any vignetting. It is held by magnets so rapid camera movements might send it flying but all in all, its a great item for a reasonable price. It gets me 1 more step closer to an SLR system.

The adhesive / sticker stop working within 6 months of very light use
The adhesive / sticker that keeps the adaptor attached to the camera failed within 6 months of very light use. it is not worth it, there is the risk of you ND filter falls during use like mine. I don't know if there is replacement for that adhesive sticker or my adapter goes to the trash?

no vignetting
I got this to use with a polarizer on my Sony RX100 M3. I was worried about vignetting that another reviewer experienced with the 52mm version, since the mark III and later ones are different from RX100 I and II in that they have a wider-angle lens. (They're the same size physically, so the magnetic ring fits the same.) I was hoping to get the smaller one, because 52mm blends in perfectly being the same size as the outer edge of Sony lens, but when the lens is extended, they all look silly, so I don't mind a few mm bigger plate, I just want to be safe from vignetting issues. So far I hasn't experienced any with the 55mm adapter.I'd like to point out that it also depends on the filter you use, and I have a low profile, slim polarizer, so it might be different with a wider one. I use a Marumi DHG but I'm sure a B+W XS-Pro would be nice too, I wouldn't use a cheap, low quality filter to degrade the picture quality after buying such an expensive and wonderful camera. I also tried the MagFilter polarizer, but it had too much warming effect for my taste. The magnet works well, it's good to be able to snap it on and off, I don't think it is strong enough to keep something on the lens all the time though, at least I would be worried about knocking it off when taking out of the bag or losing expensive filters. That's why it is a great plus that the box includes a little pouch to carry your magfilter separately. It's also great that it ships with 2 base rings, so you can use it with two cameras (but not at the same time obviously) or can use it on your next camera. What I didn't like is the lack of some guide to put it on perfectly. It is very difficult and is also very important to center the little ring perfectly, with the glue that keeps sticking to your finger. It is very close to the inner side of the flat surface where you attach it, there is only about 1mm to the edge, and even using a strong light and a magnifier I couldn't do it evenly. The glue is quick and strong, which is great, but good luck if you dropped the ring to the wrong place. Also the package lacks instructions, e.g. it doesn't tell you too clean the area, which is useful before glueing anthing anywhere, and for people who don't spend days researching the topic like me, it might not be clear how it works and what to do with it.I was also very much inclined to get the Lensmate one that is not magnetic, so it may attach more securely to the camera, but I really like that the MagFilter is so thin and low profile. One thing I still prefer in Lensmate and would like to see here too, is having the different parts available for purchace separately. It's way too expensive to get only an extra filter ring or extra sticker for $40. They sell the adhesive rings on the website, but it would be good to have it on Amazon Prime too, along with other parts like the pouch and threaded adapters. There are many cases when you don't need the whole kit, and I'd be more willing to buy several pieces separately for a lower price than getting the whole package with stuff I don't need.
