36mm CPL MagFilter Photography & Cinema Circular Polarizer for Canon S95 S100 S110

What a clever design! It fits the small Canon camera perfectly and makes a big difference in the quality of pictures with sky, water or reflective surfaces within the image. I wish the camera makers would incorporate circular polaroid filters in their cameras. They are more useful than many of the extra functions they do put in. But, this magnetically attachable filter does the job with no fuss or muss. they even include an extra adhesive mounting ring and carry-pouch for it. If they have one that will fit your camera, get it.

The principle is good, and in coastal southwest light, the polarizer optics seem fine and can really add to the clarity and interest of pictures.I'd see no need to pay more for optical properties, unless perhaps on a very high resolution camera.I do have problems getting the ring attached to my Olympus XZ-2, because the available size for it isn't a perfect match -- not enough mating area for the adhesive to work well. I'm experimenting with two-sided tapes, not wanting to risk getting glues on the fine lens. I'd wish for a better attitude than I met in emailing service, but think I will work this out.At the moment I've got a thin foam mounting tape (in small pieces along the curvature), and this adheres fine, but the distance added causes vignetting at wide angles, which are where a polarizer is often the most evident help.So, a thinner tape, and still picking one to use.

The filter is light, small and easy to use, would highly recommend it.It has added some significant value to the Canon S100 which is a steal of a camera at the clearance prices.The attachmentThere is a small adhesive strip with a magnetic ring that attaches to the very front of the camera, and sits very flush, I had concerns that it might come off if I put the camera in my pocket (but it hasn't). I received a replacement ring as well, which would be useful if the adhesive ever fails on the original ring.When the filter is attached, it feels sturdy enough to move around and I have confidence that the lens won't just fall off, however it is easy to pull the filter off when you're storing it.The pouch provided has a small plastic carabiner which makes it easy to keep the filter nearby if you can't put your camera in your camera bag with the filter on.Note:Would recommend carrying a lens-pen in case you touch the lens by mistake (LensPen MiniPro is what I'm using).

I purchased this MagFilter based on Youtube / Amazon reviews and it fits perfectly on my Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II. Overall, I like the concept of the magnet strip and mini carrying case but unfortunately the filter casts a slight (shadow) edge and it requires you to zoom in to avoid the shadow of the MagFilter which can get annoying pretty fast.

Works ok. Not great polarization but Hey, whats up? It's not for a dslr. Also the magnet catches the edge I the frame so I have to zoom in to crop it out. As you turn the polarizer it jumps and slides a little from the magnet is hitting negative and positive spots. Pretty cool. Probably works best on exact cameras it's specified for. I am using a Canon PowerShot SX700hs at work.

Bought this item after reading many reviews. When it arrived it seemed great and the packaging was nice. However, after using it for just one day (!) it started to slide off my camera as the adhesive wasn't as sticky as advertised - this ended up causing damage to my camera as it slid off and made a scratch. This wouldn't be the biggest issue as I could just return or replace the lens, but I flew out the day after I bought it on a 6 month trip in Asia. Beware of this adhesive. $40 down the drain.

It was easy to attach the ring to my G7 X Mark II camera. The magnetic is pretty strong. It will do what I got it for which is mainly to protect the lens, since as I understand it, if dust gets in there's no way to get it out. Not 5 stars because it blocks out at some edges of the screen/photo. The picture will have to be resized a bit smaller to remove the blacked-out part. I think it only does this at angles. Straight on photos are fine.

I had a WheelWitness Dash Cam HD PRO Plus which works great except of some special cases when glare and reflections essentially reduse the image quality.This filter doesn't require any special constructions to be attached and fits the camera lense just fine.I am very satisfied, this is exactly what I was looking for..

Hace bien su trabajo, evitar que entre polvo en la lente, la tengo puesta desde que la compré y ahí sigue, no me ha dado problemas. Si se me perdiera, compraría otra igual.

Excellent et facile à utiliser

Great Polariser! It's nice and compact and does a very good job. Fits my G9X perfectly. Also had a 42mm version on my G7X.

This is a great filter for point 'n shoot cameras. If you don't have one, you should, but it only fits certain cameras - I have Canon s120. I often fool people into thinking my point n shoot photos are taken with my big Canon DSLR. I lost the original in Hawaii in April.

CPL worked ok, but filter didn't stay on.
