I bought this last year to clean the SU carbs in my old Datsun. It works great but I wish I had bought the 6 litre model instead as I had to flip them around to get every bit cleaned. I just used tap water and some auto store liquid cleaner and degreaser.I've also used it a few times to clean printed circuit boards just using water and dish washing liquid and it did a great job.I recently got it out to try to clean some old toy train track that was dirty with a bit of rust on it. Again I couldn't get it completely submerged but just using tap water and Dawn dish detergent, it made the track look almost new. Even removed 95% of the rust.Simple mechanical controls so it is probably repairable if something in the controls fails. I will be getting the 6 litre model soon as it will let more of what I want to clean be submerged completely.For the price, if what you need to clean fits, it's a bargain.

This thing is great. The heater in combination with the ultrasonic is fantastic. I've used it to clean and rebuild two carburetors. It's about the largest size I could find for the money with the heater ultrasonic combo. It isn't big enough to do the carb body and baseplate, but I just do half and turn them around to do the other half.I do wish the timer stayed on longer. Not a huge deal, since I just turn it back to 20 minutes when it goes off. It comes with a nice basket to take smaller things in and out easily. Keep in mind the basket stands inside, so you lose about 1/2" of height to the pan when you use the basket. Also, when comparing inside measurements, things are always bigger than they seem.

This thing really does the trick for cleaning small engine carburetors and carburetor parts. Pour some carburetor cleaner in, turn up the heat to about 50c, and let her run for about 3 full cycles. Put the carb back together, install it, and you're back in business!

Bought for my hubbys repair projects back in December ‘17 it’s now November ‘18 and it won’t heat without the vibration turned on. So I’m worried that’ll go next. Works great for what he needed but I didn’t give it 5 stars because it didn’t even last a whole year!

Works as advertised. Very pleased with quality and function. Arrived promptly. Four stars until I can evaluate durability, but I feel it will hold up to my weekly use.
