WenVen Men's Lightweight Military Cotton Jacket Casual Spring Lapel Work Coat

5’8” 215lbs, 15% body Fat.I have a power lifter/athletic build. I bought the large based on the sizing chart, as I don’t plan on wearing this except with thin long sleeve or short sleeve shirts.Looks similar to a carhartt but much softer. I bought this as a casual jacket to wear with slacks but not wear a sports coat. Fits the bill.The size chart is spot on so go by it for sure.

I'm 6 foot 190lbs so I went for the large and its way too large. Actually if I was in a North East winter like area and was layered up all the time it might be ok but in my location I wear jackets over just a t-shirt so I feel like I'm drowning in it. Also the sleeves came down to my knuckles and I think I'm pretty proportionate. But, its nicely made. Fabric feels good and the zipper and snaps feel sturdy. Just not for me. I'm overseas so I can't return it. I'm giving it to my brother. He's the same size as me but he's not as fussy.

I'm an older fellow so I've got the big middle but as I'm also tall and wide shouldered in build which carried over from my youth, I can't escape the blocky look now. This garment was designed for the wedge look which I am not, so I ordered one size larger than usual once I saw the cut of the jacket. I was right. It fits snugly at the upper thigh yet fits perfectly around the gut. Pulling the jacket down when standing relieves the snuggness and opening the jacket when driving is very comfortable. The shoulders are slightly loose but that's okay because with a sweater or thick winter shirt that little extra space will get used up and also it's just right for twisting actions and arm elevating.

`Fits im 6'3 185lbs slim build and a medium fit me i think its a tad short at the waist. Aside from that its an alright fall jacket. I havent tested it outside yet so I can't say if its actually gonna be warm its still September and I live in NJ; so its rather warm here yet still in the 70's during the day. I hope next month I'll get to test it. If its not warm I'm gonna send it back.

This jacket is a light fall canvas jacket, with blue collar appeal (which I enjoy). It has a great fit, with enough room for some layering. My heavy hoodie is a squeeze, but still fits snugly underneath. There was some slight shrinkage on first wash, but the jacket was sized large enough that it had enough room to do so without causing any concern. The gray color looks more like a washed out black. Overall no complaints, we'll see how good the quality is in the coming months.

The description at the top says 100% cotton. After getting the jacket and seeing the lining I did a search on the page and found the one small line saying it has a polyester lining. Perhaps partly my fault for not reading the entire description, but the polyester lining really should be listed at the top of the page right under 100% cotton.

I like the overall look of casual wearwhen going on walks or shopping instores or malls. Perfect for use whenthere's light rain or lower temps in thelate Fall.The Fit for me is just right: I'm averagebuild so having some "space" insidewhen wearing a couple shirts is great.Snaps plus zipper on front of jacketis winner. Feel of material so muchbetter than nylon or polyester shells.I have a "good" feeling when I'm outand about wearing this jacket.

I liked the look of this jacket and it seems to be well made. However, the fit was like a tall slim - too tight in the shoulders and sleeves were way too long. The sizing chart said XL was 28in sleeves. This would be OK if it were tailored the normal way - sleeves are supposed to be measured from nape of neck to cuff. The 28 Inch sleeves listed for this jacket are actually measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Would fit OK for a skinny orangutan. It's going back.

Quality of the product is like what you see, you have a good price/quality ratio. (I was worried about how slim it was because the image shows very slim arms and torso but it’ fine). Pay attention to the «Sizing Chart» that may be tricky. Following this chart I first ordered the large size... that was too large. Had to order twice to get to the small size (normally i wear medium size). The seller indicates «Sizes can vary between brands» with the chart. So you might have to do some try and error in ordering... This is the disadvantage of buying remotely, we could all agree!

Fit is very good at 6'1, 210 lbs in a Large, could be more snug but it leaves room to layer. Think they nailed the height and the arms length hit just right. Collar extends a little lower to the front than normal I think. Material feels nicely thick and soft, a little more casual but would pass in almost all situations. Happy so far, wish it also came in Navy

People said to pick a size above because it's made in china or whatever but honestly it's bullsh*t (in my case). I'm 5'10, 175 lbs (wear medium normally) and the large one was way to large for me so don't trust everything you read here.

My overall impression, I’m very impressed. Hard to find an all Cotten jacket. Time will tell after I’ve washed it a few times. I’ll write an update in future. The xl fit perfect with a little room, except I wasn’t able to tie my shoes without it pulling like crazy. I have big shoulders and chest. I returned it and bought the Xxl which is very roomy on me. Still love it so far.

If you are a big guy forget it. Quality is good enough for the price but couldn't get it over my arms and back without ridiculous stretching taking place. Worked well for my 13 year old boy though.
