Durable, bright, and ready
If I was only allowed 1 flashlight my entire life, this is the one I would commit to and heres why,Out of my flashlights this is the one that I use the most often. I work as a plumber for a public school system and when things are slow I also help out with maintenance on a variety of tasks both big and small. Honestly I think this flashlight is the most versatile type of flashlight I have ever tested. I have actually bought more than one of these with the intent of testing the durability and I have done everything to thouroughly try to wreck these and they just refuse to quit. Using AAA batteries they are readily available if you ever need it to take them out of another device in a situation where you desperately needed a flashlight. The batteries are also inexpensive and readily available. I have literally thrown these as high as I can and let them slam on a cement parking lot and they continue to work flawlessly. The reflector on these is very good and it looks like more than 100 lumens. 60 lumens is rated as enough light to blind a person in a dark environment so at 100 lumens this thing packs a punch for its size and price. I use it every day at work and it is 100% flawless. I let people borrow it and it still continues to get the job done. For a light so small the throw is very good and the hotspot is so bright that if it shines off a wall my eyes actually hurt. I have tried flashlights from other companies and I honestly think that Maglite is the best at designing parts and making them replaceable and durable. Even though they usually offer less lumens, the optics are made so well that I believe Maglite obliterates the competition. These things are built to last and they are repairable. These can easily survive a 30 foot drop. I know because I've repeatedly thrown them as high as I can and have watched them slam on cement. Whether you need a sturdy light to keep in your pocket at work or something to use tactically in a pinch, a small home security light or just a light for general purposes, I believe this is the most versatile light I have ever owned. It is bright enough to lock a door or search your house in the dark and I've used it to illuminate hundreds of feet of crawl space underneath school buildings for my job. I'm very picky with products that I own and this is the light that I prefer for work because it is not too heavy and is versatile and packs a punch like I never imagined it would. You don't need to read any more reviews, just buy it. For the price you can't go wrong. And despite of its low price and small size it is a beast. It's easy to carry in your front pocket with your wallet and even though I walk thousands of feet doing service calls throughout the day walking down long hallways in school buildings I do not feel at all held back by having this in my front pocket. I don't generally write reviews but I just had to because of how much I love this thing. I love it so much that it actually annoys my girlfriend and my roommate because I talked to them about it even though I know they don't care about it but if you buy when I promise you that you will care very much about it and it will be the best decision that you've made this year. It's durable, waterproof, and versatile, and easy to carry without adding much weight to your pocket at all.

Surprisingly Bright!
This slim flashlight can be carried in a pocket and is very bright. I like to have it with me at bars and restaurants in case my friends or I drop something.

Best EDC flashlight.
I have both versions (led and incandescent) and as advertised, this is brighter with a longer lasting battery. In some cases it might actually be too bright! I’ve dropped this several times from about 1 meter on concrete, tile, etc… and it still works great. If you want a super bright light in a pocket size then this is it. If you want a not so bright light but same thing, get the incandescent version and if that is still too bright, get the single aaa incandescent version (great for reading in a dark car without disturbing driver). This model however, would be far to bright to turn on inside a moving car at night.Update: My incandescent version ran out of batteries recently and was pitching the batteries then thought, hmmm wonder if there’s enough juice left to power it’s led version and wow. I’m running the led for about an hour now on batteries that were “dead” and incapable of powering the older incandescent model. That’s impressive.

Best pocket flashlight
MagLite Mini LED 2-Cell AAA flashlight - best all around pocket flashlight - very bright - batteries last over 4 solid hours of use, sometimes longer. If used only occasionally, could last for months.

Good Everyday Flashlight - Made In USA
For ~$12, this was sold by sporato and fulfilled by Amazon.com.PROS: * Small and lightweight * Precision machining * Tough aluminum body * Powerful, even light output contains no blemishes * Smooth on/off * Comes with a decent pocket clip - Not great, but a handy throw in * MADE IN USA * Comes with two Duracell aaa batteries * Looks and operates coolCONS: * Not a lot of grip is provided * Batteries rattle around, just a little * Not easy to turn on/off with one hand - I was aware of how the flashlight turns on/off, before I bought it, and nothing has been deducted for this. This is not a flaw of the flashlight - I,also, own the Maglite XL50, which has a tail on/off buttonOVERALL: A small, quality, and very bright (84 lumens) flashlight.

A flawless device on a small scale, packing power and durability for 2 AAA batteries. Also, a new mode of use by maglite!
So, maglight always makes a quality item. I wanted to attach a smaller flashlight to my multitool sheath and saw the AAA maglight LED. The LED was the important part for me and since I've gotten this, it fits perfectly with what I imagined. It puts off a great amount of light for such a small flashlight and it being LED will last for quite awhile. The new "lantern" mode is what I thought was missing from older maglites and I'm so happy they included it. I will admit it also makes me feel like a wizard. Lumos, fools. The only downside (if there is one) is the fact that the batteries rattle a little inside the body of the flashlight. It's not a perfect fit, but a little bit of tape (just a tiny piece) on each battery adds enough of a buffer that stops them from rattling and still allows easy removal instead of locking them in place.I haven't tested for durability yet, but if it's like any other maglite, it's going to be a beast, only on a smaller scale.I am absolutely satisfied with this flashlight.

You can't go wrong with a Maglite
Maglites are incredible and they last forever. I bought this one because I lost my last maglite at a recent event and knew I would replace it with nothing less than the original. I had my last maglite for close to 20 years, used it almost every day, and it looked and worked almost as if it was new. Yes, they are expensive but they are worth it.

Bright
Led flashlight is a good buy. Work perfectly is very bright. Easy operation and maglite seems indestructible.
