If it doesn't fit - ADAPT
Prior to purchasing I was aware there was a risk of this not fitting through my drain hole. I measured and thought it would be close. Once I received it and checked - it did not fit. I applied the same fix as others by adding a length of 1/4" copper. I purchased a 1/4" x 6" threaded nipple and a corresponding 1/4" coupling. Use thread tape and tighten it down - done. I also went so far at to drill a small hole on the inside of my drain plug and screwed in a metal fishing leader with a swivel. The other end is attached to the copper nipple with a few wraps around the pipe and tape to hold it in place. As far as the issues with not having a swivel attachment to the oil pan? Not needed. The hose is 42" long! I have a single engine and the distance from my oil pan drain plug to the transom drain plug is about 12". The excess hose is comfortably laying in a circle on the bottom of the bilge not hurting anything. With about $10 in parts and a little thought and time I have a permanent working system for easy oil changes. No need to overthink things. Now if the seller would offer a "Reduction Kit" he would sell alot more of these systems with less questions and worry from buyers.

Check your bilge hole diameter first
This hose does fit a Chevy 350 oil pan.If your boat is normally on a trailer, with a bilge plug that is at least 3/4" in diameter, this item will be a timesaver!!!My boat is normally in a slip, but can also be trailered. The bilge plug is only 1/2" in diameter and this hose will not pass through it to drain the oil. The size of the bilge plug required, should be in the listing somewhere. If you have one of the compression style 'plugs' in the bottom of your boat, this item should work great! If you have a screw in brass plug, measure the opening diameter first, because chances are this hose will not fit to drain your oil. (If the hole is not at least 3/4 of an inch in diameter, assembly will not fit.)

Really worthless
To be usable and installable without removing the engine it needs two things which this does not have. A swivel fittng and a wire the hook to the inside of the boats drain plug. This has neither. Other models do, get one of those instead.
