My wife needed a BDU jacket to wear out in the woods, and she wanted something that matched all of her cargo pants, of which black is her favorite color) so this fit the bill perfectly. Made well, it is rip-stop, and has not faded after repeated washings and being dried in the sun. Quality appears to be no different than my issued BDU's.

Not a mil spec item but for the price it’s a great deal. I’m sure I’ll see many years of use.
