PRIMECOM 30 Feet Level 2 (220V/240V) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger 32 & 40 Amp 6-50P, 10-50P, 14-50P for Bolt, Tesla, Kona, etc. (10-50P, 40 Amp)

Recibí este producto hace dos días y llevo ese tiempo probándolo. La estación portátil funcionó perfectamente en mi Hyundai Ioniq 2018. Redujo los tiempos de carga aproximadamente en 4 veces (lo que antes tomaba, por ejemplo, 4 horas, ahora toma alrededor de 55 minutos). Siendo una estación portátil, y por tanto un cable similar al que trae de fábrica el carro, es bastante más fuerte y un tanto pesada (porque el cable es más grueso y largo), pero en realidad eso no es mayor inconveniente. Su pantalla de información es bastante útil porque indica lo que está consumiendo de energía durante la carga, el tiempo transcurrido, el amperaje, etc. El largo del cable me parece muy conveniente. Hay que tener cuidado cuando se le desconecta luego de estar cargando porque su enchufe se calienta bastante. No lo he probado a la intemperie bajo la lluvia. Es importante verificar, antes de comprarlo, la compatibilidad de su conector para el carro, y la de su enchufe para con el tipo de instalación eléctrica en donde va a ser utilizado (voltaje y tipo de tomacorriente); en mi caso así lo hice y no tuve absolutamente ningún problema. Realmente este producto satisfizo mis expectativas en un 100%.

Product works fine. I setup a 100a 2 pole (50a per pole) breaker with 6 gauge wire, and I am charging my 2016 nissan leaf (106 miles of range) in bout 2 hours (a little less). So three weeks after the purchase, I am very happy.The support on the phone was interesting. Most companies dont offer support over the phone (some dont even answer the phone) so its great that they do. However, the person who answered told me he was an engineer. When speaking to him, he didnt seem very knowledgeable and I had to seek out support elsewhere. That was frustrating.But the product works fine. Better than expected.

Upgraded our home electrical system with a forty amp breaker, #6 electric line and outlet. Problem with outlet and this unit's plug. Contacted PRIMECOM which got back to me quickly and revealed my contractor used an outlet that was under recall for potential fire issues. When my contractor replaced the outlet everything worked fine. Glad PRIMECOM was on top of a potentially dangerous situation.BTW, charges my Bolt in a fraction of the time my 16 amp PRIMECOM charger did!

Everything worked as promised.

For my e-Golf, this charger couldn’t be better. :-)
