Delicious but different
I’ve loved pea soup all my life and always make my own from scratch. Of course I’ve always used green split peas. This was my first time using yellow split peas. They’re wonderful. But I will say they take a lot longer to cook down. Great soup but allow a couple hours extra cooking time.

Great product
As it is said, it is slow-cooked, so be patient about it. What has helped me is that I cook it in a separate pot to get it to medium cooked and then add it to my other ingredients midway, so it wouldn't get smashed or stay hard and not fully cooked.
