Small amp, big thump!
One week in and this little amp does a good job driving my subwoofer. The original built-in amp in the subwoofer stopped working. I opened the cabinet, disconnected the existing electronics and added speaker wires to the driver speaker. Using the Fosi amp to directly drive the sub. Plenty of power, running the Fosi at about 12 o'clock on the volume control, my surround amp auto cal set the sub output at -5.0. I really didn't notice a difference in bass output between the old built-in amp and the Fosi. Great/easy way to save an expensive speaker.

There's no better solution for me
I'm currently using the Fosi to power a compact DIY sub employing 2 Dayton Epique E-150's & 2 10" PR's. Bass management is handled by an Emotiva PT-2, so the Fosi runs full freq. In my basement home theater this is the punchiest and most musical bass set-up I've ever run. It works great for any input; TV, movies, vinyl, FLAC & ALAC, streaming, CDs...you name it. This unit has power to spare in this arrangement. Since I have the compact Fosi mounted to the bottom of the sub, I just give the volume knob a little twist if I ever want to rattle walls. Most of the time it's perfect right where I've dialed it in. The ideal solution for me.

Excellent amplifier for subwoofer DIY or repair
I am impressed. I just build a DIY subwoofer for my home theater. Had to build a specialty box because it had to fit between the back of my couch and the wall. Only had about 5-6" to work with. So, I had to build my own. Obviously I couldn't install an amplifier in such a shallow box, so I bought this thinking it was worth the try. I AM IMPRESSED. I did a great job on the subwoofer. While not very deep, it is large in length and height. I connected this amplifier externally, and I have to admit.... I am totally impressed. So clean and quiet (until music/movies are playing). Highly recommend it. If you have a subwoofer with a burned out amplifier, DON'T THROW IT AWAY. Just open it up, disconnect the speaker wires from the internal amplifier, extend the speaker wires outside of the cabinet, velcro this amp onto the existing subwoofer and connect the wires. Perfect repair. Now; if you are trying to replace a 400-1000 watt amplifier, well this is only 220 watts. But seriously..... unless you're in a car with a little weenie complex, do you really need more than 220 watts. Anyway; for the NORMAL person, this is a great amplifier for a DIY subwoofer build or to save you old subwoofer that has a broken amp.

tinny, powerful
If you have a plate amp on a subwoofer that has gone bad, before you spend hours and $$ on trying to bring it back to life, give this little guy a try. In a package smaller than a box of kitchen matches is a little D class amp that likely puts out an honest 80-100 watts which is more than enough for most subwoofers. If that doesn’t light your fire, buy the bigger power supply brick. It also has a variable 20-220Hz filter so it’s only giving your speakers what they need. And, to all the ‘tonality’ comments, it’s a subwoofer amp operating below 200Hz, likely 100100Hz or less depending on your settings. At that frequency sound is apt to be non-directional and signature more a function of the sub you are using than the amp. This is the perfect application for D class, hyper-efficient and less analytical. This thing saved me hours of rebuild time and likely a bunch of money too, who knew?

good amplifier
although my JBL was wired for two homes and was capable of 1100 W fee amplifier still dead a decent job. I certainly recommend it for smaller applications that is made for inappropriate for. Period I never had a seal problem with it.

The most powerful in < $100 range
I tried quite a few amps and this one is the best value and most power. I would not recommend full-range/sub switchable amps - those do neither good. Great match with Dayton Audio MKSX4 sub. I keep it at 10 o'clock position, connected to L channel from the sub out on AIYIMA A70 Balanced Stereo Amplifier.

Great plate amp substitute.
Bought a Polk PSW10 back in. 2011. The amp died on it a few months ago. This little Fosi was simple to hook up directly to the driver, bypassing the original plate amp. It sounds better than out of the box. Very satisfied with this purchase.
