It works! 2013 Prius C
I had to find an actual locksmith (my local Ace wouldn't cut this type of key for me, your results may vary). But it was still fairly inexpensive.I did end up purchasing a OBDII port programmer to get the fob to work. (The cut key will unlock the doors but won't start the car if not paired to the car.) Found one on Amazon that worked great. Still saved a lot of $ compared to going through the dealer. The door lock/unlock works but takes slightly more time pressing the button compared to my original fob. I've gotten used to the difference fairly quickly but it meant I didn't unlock all the doors a few times when riding with passengers.

Remote Keyless Transmitter Programmed, Works Very, Very Poorly
I wish I could give 0 stars! When I bought the car used it came with only one key. So, I purchased 2 keys from the seller and successfully programmed the chip and remote functions. I had to buy a special tool for the programming and unfortunately, when I figured out they did not work well the return period has passed. The remote function works very, very poorly and intermittently. Normally I will have to push the button dozens if times before it will work. The factory remote key works perfect every time. I would these give zero stars if I could! As a key with chip to start the ignition, perfect. When using the remote to unlock or lock doors it is terrible and useless! I even tried replacing the batteries, but they are just defective.

Great Prius C spare after market key, it works as advertised with a locksmith help.
This spare key for my Prius C does work. As it is mentioned on the instruction to ha a profesional locksmith to program it. Otherwise any DIY instruction from youtube will not work. Thank you for a great product.

This remote works for 2015 Scion XB and should work for all 2nd Gen Scion XB.
My used 2015 Scion XB only came with 1 key. I want to have a backup key just incase so I ordered this one to try. Although the instruction says I can't program the remote myself and have to take it a locksmith or dealer. I googled and found instruction on how to program Scion XB remote. It's weird sequences of inserting existing key in and out and open door multiple times. It took some practices but eventually I was able to successfully program the remote. The cost to key is less than $5 at Ace Hardware. I would rate this four stars based on total costs (~$25) vs dealer price of $300-400 for a replacement key. Even Ace Hardware is going to charge $300. This did not get 5 stars because the remote range is not as good as OEM key Fob (probably half) and instruction/compatibility on their website is wrong as my 2015 Scion XB is not chip (I opened the OEM key fob and the area where chip would go is empty). Based on the owner manual, I believe only Canadian XBs have chip.

Scam
Buyer beware! These keys are nothing like the Toyota Prius key. I took it to the dealer today and was told the fob more than likely wouldn’t work (it’s very expensive to have it programmed, so huge risk) and the key blade should never be used to start the car. I desperately needed a spare key in case I get locked out again so I went ahead and had them cut it for me, but even with only using it to open the door it is not easy. Because the key is just not the same at all. I have a 2015 Prius. Don’t waste your money!

Great key, difficult to find place to cut it
It is the same key as my Prius C 2012.It was difficult to get it cut like my master key as every shop was telling me that, like the key has a transponder, they will not cut it.Insist, get it cut somewhere like Walmart or Home Depot and use techtool to clone your key yourself.Best 180$ that I saved.

Worked
Have a 2012 Prius C and these keys worked fine. Had to get a little distance away from the key for lock/unlock but alarm worked both close and far. They do ship with batteries so there's no need to buy anything else.
