Works excellently for keeping my salt dry (the flakes are even crispier than usual!), and easy to fit the hand in to grab a palmful when cooking. Nice looking product, well designed.

I may be the first to review this salt pig but I can assure you I wont be the last! I have also ordered the piglet to go with it, which I am going to use for my crushed peppercorns. these items are not just great looking in your kitchen, but DO keep your condiments dry and with the salt spoon just the right amount is used. Fabulous and worth the delivery, package is also great. So if your looking for a bit of good quality, good looking terracota look no further!

Simple, looks good and easy to use. Much prefer this to other more fussy ones, looks pretty good in our modern-ish styled kitchen too.

Nice Salt Pig if you are looking for something plain and functional.The opening is a good size so you can get your hand in the jar for a pinch of salt unlike others where the opening is too small for the hand.The salt is kept good and dry.

the terracotta is absorbent of moisture and it helps to keep salt extra dry. I love to use the salt from this pig because I do not have to get the salt cellar or salt pot all gummed up with steam when I put it in with my little wooden spoon & because I can use quality salts like pink Himalayan salt which are really healthy. The pot seems to stay clean even after using for over a year but if it got mucky I would probably just wipe the outside with a fresh damp cloth.
