Wasted of money did not dye what I wanted at all. Maybe only good for cotton.

Capito come fare, devo dire che il copriletto in cotone, tinto con due confezioni è venuto molto bello. Spero che il colore si mantenga anche dopo vari lavaggi. Consigliato, per ora, non l'ho ancora lavato. ☺️

After reading reviews about Rit fabric dye, I was worried that the dyed fabric would bleed. However, it didn’t bleed much at all. After dyeing the fabric, I rinsed it in the sink and noticed very little color coming out. When I later washed it, I added a white dryer bag to check for bleeding, and it came out completely unchanged. Here’s the process I used: 1. Boil a large pot of water. 2. Add ½ cup of salt and 1 tablespoon of dish detergent. 3. Lower the heat to medium and place the fabric in the pot. 4. Stir for 30–40 minutes. 5. Rinse the fabric in cold water until the water runs clear. 6. Gently wring out the excess water and place the fabric in the washer with an old towel. 7. Use warm water for the wash cycle. 8. Finally, place the fabric in the dryer. (In the picture the dryer bag has dyed lace in it but the bag was perfectly fine after washing the dyed fabrics)

I am SO impressed with Rit Liquid Dye. I use all my favorite colors (Teal, Emerald, Dark Green, Purple, Fuchsia, Violet and Indigo) to dye 100% cotton tees with the Shibori Itajime technique (folding and then binding with rubber bands), using squirt bottles for application. The results are spectacular! It's amazing how many different beautiful tones result from using just one color. For richer, more saturated tones I dye each shirt at least twice. Using more dye (3 or 4 Tablespoons instead of 2) really makes a difference. As others have noted be sure to use the Fixative for best results. I've dyed 24 shirts and every one is a unique work of art! I highly recommend Rit Liquid Dyes and Fixative.

Worked great. Just don't forget to use Rit Fixative with Rit dye. Color is holding super strong. If you don't use the fixative it tends to wash out. Just a matter of using it correctly. I did 1/4 cup to 3 gallons of super hot water (tap) for 20min stirring constantly in a 5 gallon bucket. Then take 4tbs of Rit color fixative to 3 gallons of super hot water. You can ring out the clothes but do not rinse until fixative is used. Stir in Fixative for 20 min (total time 40min for color plus fixative). Came out great, no color runs or fading. Used on 100% cotton.
