Attack on Titan 27 Paperback – April 9, 2019

Eren is in a cell again. He seems to like it for all the time spent in one. Hange tries talking to him but it really doesn't go anywhere.The scene changes to a brand new port (Paradis is growing up) and there is a quick introduction between the survey corp (especially Eren) and the Eldian restorationists. This is not the purpose of the meeting. People are waiting for the arrival of the representatives of Hizuru. The rep appears and much to Mikasa's surprise; she looks like her mother. We get some back story to Mikasa's lineage.Miss Kiyomi (the rep) goes on to explain of a meeting with Zeke (the beast titan) and we get to learn a little more of the restorationists and even the plans for the beast titan (remember Titan's only have 13 years).We return to the cell and find the exchange between Eren and Hange is not going well. Eren is a little more agitated then normal. Hange leaves.We change to Sasha's grave and Niccolo is in full remorse. Somebody hassles him for being a Marleyan. Survey corp members appear and drag the guy off. Sasha's family appears. Niccolo tells them who he is and offers to feed them since Sasha loved his food so much.Paradis has a railroad and the survey corp is working on it! Look for Mikasa and what she carries. :)Gabi and Falco appear as part of the story. They escape and end up with a family. One who befriends them takes them to a village and they learn the story of how it was turned into titans. I am not sure Gabi has all her proverbial marbles in place. She seems to be loosing it. Faced with enemy and is in conflict as the family are nice people and have faced their own tragedies. I am wondering if things will not end well.Zeke is a factor in this story. He is being held in the old giant groves by Levi and the team. You quickly learn Levi really doesn't like Zeke and would probably love the chance to kill him. More story as to the village and this of course pisses off Levi.Meanwhile, back in Marley; they are figuring out what went on with Zeke.It also appears that Eren is becoming known and has support among the people.You will find in this story there is a build up going on. Intrigue, suspicion of the restorationists, Eren and Zeke might be up to something. This becomes readily available at the end of the story.On to the next one!

This volume took a much slower pace to explain how eldia was taking in the modern lifestyle. It also set up a political story that really starts to take off in chapter 111. After the Marley Arc which threw our character 3 years into the future all of the sudden this was needed to help us understand where Eldia and our characters are in Modern Eldia. Really good.

After reading the last few books, I thought AoT had really lost it touch. The story was boring, the character motivation was weird (still is), but now things are starting to come together. I can’t wait to see what happens by the end. You can really feel the story drawing to a close.

I gave 5 stars because this download is easy to read and it allows me to know what is going to happen in accordance to the anime.

When reading a manga which has been translated - it’s best to read multiple translations. Even though I purchase the chapters every month from ComiXology, I still enjoy having and reading a physical copy of my favorite manga

Love this manga series, so happy to get this volume for a little less than $10. It arrived in good condition, just wished it had a little more protection.

All I can say is buy this book it’s absolutely a worthy buy for AOT fans, guaranteed mind blowing crazy
