Altec Lansing 120 Two Satellite Speaker PC Music & Gaming System

When I received my speakers , the left speaker came in and out. Then both would work then the other one would go out.. I did pay for a new set of speakers but these were definitely used... not impressed 😒

After reading other reviews I finally decided to get these speakers. I was not expecting as much as I got. The speakers are nice sized (about as tall as my laptop open, 12 inches app.) and have incredible sound for the value. When I first plugged them in I forgot to turn up my laptop's volume and got a nice surprise from the speakers when I cranked them all the way up. They do get a little distorted with more emphatic bass but overall handle all types of music nicely. Overall a superb product at a superb price.

I bought these speakers so I would not have to turn the volume on my monitor way high and ruin it. But I can barely hear these, they have a very low sound output.

For 2.0 speakers I wasn't expecting much from these, but they sound pretty good. I recommend 2.1 (with a subwoofer) for avid music listeners and movie watchers, but these sound remarkably good for the price. The sound is crisp and clear. My only gripe is the bass is a little overpowering with music listening (the back of each speaker has a whole, a sort of bass port). Still the bass is much better than no bass at all. For movie watching people will appreciate the rich sound. Decent for mp3s, great for DVDs. I use this as a secondary set of speakers. I have a laptop and sometimes when I travel I don't want to listen to the built in 'tin can' sounding ones, that's when these come in handy. I also use them with my portable mp3 cd player, so they are versatile. Overall for what you pay, you're getting nice sounding speakers. As I said I would like a bass or tremble adjustment knob (that would make these a 5 star item) and perhaps they could be a little sleeker in size. They do not take up too much desk space because their bottom width is small enough, but they are a bit too tall. I can tolerate this though, because they are relatively stylish. Fairly impressed. Altec makes some really solid speakers and these are no acception (FYI: there is cloth covering over the front of the speakers). They feel like they are built to last, and I believe they have a one year warranty.A definite recommendation for a 2.0 speaker setespecially for:watching dvds and listening to music on a laptop and for using with discmen/ mp3 players.

i bought these at a goodwill for 3.99 (not including tax) and it came with the 3.5mm male and wall plug and this system works fine. they get the job done for any step up from standard speakers. just plug the 3.5mm male connecter to the female from the PC phone or connecter from a splitter and you get audio. simplicity at its finest.

I was anxiously searching the web for some nice speakers for my Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop. I happened to swstumble across these, and saw that they were unbelievably inexpensive. So, I purchased them, and 3 business days later (standard shipping!), I got the best quality and performing speakers! They're really great, and the sound amplifies about 100000 times better. There's even a volume adjustment knob and an outlet for headphones. Plus, they look really sleek. I highly recommend these speakers!

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my wife. The Altec Lansing 120 speakers are pretty decent, and are certainly much better than the generic speakers that came with my wife's computer. Music aficionados will be disappointed that there is no way to adjust anything other than the volume on these speakers. I have Creative Labs Sound Blaster SBS20 speakers (with bass and treble controls), and they sound much clearer than these Altec Lansing speakers. Nevertheless, I must say that for the price the Altec Lansing 120 speakers are quite good. If you're likely to notice subtle differences in sound quality, you should consider spending a bit more to get speakers with bass and treble controls, but if you're looking for inexpensive speakers that sound pretty good, these speakers are a good buy.

I purchased these at Target for $15 US. They're simply the best sub-$20 PC speakers I've ever used. Sound quality and volume control are excellent, and the design is handsome. If you need cheap speakers and find these for under $20, buy them. Dont waste time searching for a better deal.
