I just got this yesterday. So I don't know how the battery life is. The batteries supplied with the grip are rated with a higher capacity than the Canon battery that came with the camera. Should work just fine. As fast as durability, it should work well too, but I've found that most aftermarket grips aren't as durable as those made by Canon. I still think, for the price, it's worth it.

My OEM (Canon) one just wore out and the shutter button stopped working, so I bought one of these to replace it with. It not only fits like a glove, but it feels better to me and works better for me.I absolutely love it.Built like a tank, too! I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Got item installed after charging batteries. Did not work. I tried again picked up camera and nothing cheap crap looks good no feasible anything but trash

Works well! Grip rubber looks the same as my t1i. Recommended to attach your generic strap sideways for easier carry.Batteries exceeed original Canon's shooting count. Above expectations.
