Is this the same rug that was in the big Lebowski ?

The rug in The Big Lebowski had fringe.

Can these rugs be used on hardwood floors alone or do you need a mesh underlay? Do they slide on hardwood floors or damage them?

I have luxury vinyl that look like hardwood. Just me walking on it I would have not needed pads. Rugs moved just a little not anything that would create a hazard. We have two full grown Labradors that run up and down the hallway and are shifting the rugs and only for that reason I bought pads to keep them stationary.

I see that you stated its a greenish blue. More blue than green?

I would say it is more green than blue.

Does the Red version have any Navy in it?

Hello, not that I can see - lots of red/maroon color with almost black in the pattern - I purchased two of the red rugs and I could not be happier -
