Mitutoyo Quality, why buy less.
I looked at cheap alternatives, but all appeared to be "Hit and Miss: with some negative reviews.After visibly inspecting this Mitutoyo 25-50mm Micrometer, I am more than happy that I did not order any of them.Appearance seems to live up to the Mitutoyo name. I won't be using this for a while but from a brief inspection it has a very smooth action and ratchet, and Zeros out almost perfectly with the set piece. I also compared the accuracy against a Mitutoyo Absolute Digital Vernier caliper - while these can be accurate, they can be so accurate as to not always exactly repeat, depending at what angle it is held. However, the difference between the two was only the thickness of a line on the Micrometer barrel.

Great micrometer for a great price
I'm not a professional machinist but I believe this micrometer was an excellent value for the money. No complaints.
