How to "woo" your own wife! By being the kind of hero every woman desires!
A romantic comedy!A man attends the wedding of his old teachers daughter's wedding. He takes one look and he's hooked. She's lively, opinionated, marrying a guy of her own choice. Than an unforseen accident kills her fiance, and her father suffers a fatal heart attack. On his death bed he asks his former student to marry his daughter. His daughter grief stricken agrees with her father's request. As she says to her husband she no longer her room in her life for love, as she sees it, she done with love. Should he need love in his life.......He doesn't tell her he's in love, with her, as the timing is not idyllic. She's lost both her fiance and father. When she requests to join a dance contest, he decides to "woo" his own wife. He "mans up" to become a "hero" the kind who always gets the girl!Out goes the demure geek, whose job involves clicking a computer. The slouch body language. Nice guy. But totally forgettable! Sad but true!He attends the dance class dressed as a "hero". No slouching! No mustache! Hair slick! Clothes so tight the jeans dig in both "at the front and back" . Twice you see him pulling at the back, as they obviously pinch! She falls to recognize her own husband!(Totally understandable as I too didn't recognize the lead actor at the very start of the movie! Not to mention he was was so timid, demure, and basically a wall flower.)He seizes the opportunity offered, calls himself Raj, and acts brash, loud and is basically irritating! But unforgettable! He flirts, and is outrageous! The one thing he has going for him, he makes her laugh, and therefore can't be totally ignored! Like he says "he wants to take away her pain".Ouch! Than the husband wakes up to the realization of she falls for Raj, gulp! His best friend says "it's still you"! Yes! But not for her! As she doesn't know! The husband decides to fight a sumo wrestler to impress his wife! She is far from impressed! And tells him so!Why she doesn't recognize him as Raj is the mystery! The husband is not acting his usual self! And yet she seems totally clueless! Why? Not one hint of suspicion! Totally clueless! Not sure this stands her in good stance.Even when they go away to on a trip, and she sees her husband walking towards her, his body language is that of Raj, she fails to notice!Barring her inability to see the obvious the movie is good fun!

A Match made in Heaven
This was Anushka Sharma's film debut with Shahrukh Khan. It's a rather silly but endearing storyline.Surinder(SRK) is an ordinary everyday kind of guy who works at a boring desk job at Punjab Power. He meets Taani (Anushka)at his friend's daughter's pre-marriage celebrations and likes her. Later we find that Taani's fiance has been killed in a road accident.Taani's father suffers a heart attack and asks Surinder, on his death bed, to marry Taani. He agrees and she accepts, but makes it clear that the marriage is in name only and that she wants his bedroom all to herself, though she will try to be a dutiful wife in all other respects. After visits to the cinema, Suri discovers Taani's love of 'Song and Dance'and her secret passion to be a dancer. When she has a chance to enter a dance competition Suri agrees to allow her to go. Suri takes advice from a friend, hairdresser Bobby, on improving his image in order to get closer to Taani, who obviously admires the more 'Macho' kind of guy. Thence Suri undergoes a Superman-style transformation into the fun-loving OTT macho 'Raj' who joins Taani's dancing class and 'divinely' gets picked to be her dancing 'Jodi'. Raj's first attempts as the 'Cool Dude' initially puts Taani off, but later she warms to him and eventually falls in love with him. Raj later confesses his love for her, throwing her in to turmoil over her relationship and her marriage.Only divine inspiration can bring us to a satisfactory conclusion.Watch this film if you love romantic comedy.Watch this film if you like 'Tear-jerkers'Watch this film for exceptional acting by both stars.Watch this film if you love Bollywood song and dance.Watch this film because you know you love SHAHRUKH KHAN

The start for Anushka!
Loved it. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are great together, enjoyed the music, the storyline. It sounds daft that changing your clothes drastically, combing your hair flat and adding a moustache and glasses means you can’t be recognised by your wife, but in this case it really worked, as Taani barely looked at Suri while she was married to him. I found Bobby funny, those mucho scenes! But he also wasn’t just there for extra laughs, there was a lot more to him.Extra plus points that made me happy were seeing the awesome Preity, Kajol and Rani.

Loved It !!
Maybe be because i am an SRK fan, but nevertheless the film for me personally was just great. Its been out that long cannot understand why I never watched it. Its not exactly a new story, but the acting the songs and the story line was lovely enough for me to watch from start to end and buy the blu ray version. Yes it's a love story, maybe a bit silly in some places, but not O.T.T. Its sweet and no sex, violence or depraving acts. It's about being in love with someone, age difference and winning that love, the lengths he goes to.

It does have subtitles now + Top Notch film
SRK delivers an exceptional performance as 'ordinary' guy. As a Bollywood love story it is very nuanced, including the spirituality of India which is pretty awesome.Being a non-serious Bollywood movie- there a few issues with the storyline that don't really make sense if you think about them too hard. Overall though, one of most fun Bollywood films I've seen.

No English subtitles
Despite the description English subtitles are not available, that said I managed to pretty much follow the plot. The dancing was good but lots of long talkie bits where I had no idea what was going on.
