Q: Are those stainless steel ? they would be used outside and don't want to see rust on my patio. Thanks

They are as stated made from 'heavy steel plate' they are not annodised, stainless steel, or coated so they are over time likely to suffer from corrosion . They are however very well made and if you need them to be used outside I suggest you use something like a rust inhibitor like hammerite, also available from Amazon.

Q: what kind of screws do I need

Hi There, The most secure way to fix these is by using nuts and bolts. I used M6 nuts and bolts for mine. If this is not possible use the largest diameter screws that you can such as No.12 screws in the length of the material you are screwing into.

would think so or maybe better to buy the castors that sit straight down with our two sets holds a heavy king size bed no problem but use long scewive used this type ive used before on a circular saw bench with no problems

If would think that these are too big for a bed. You would only need smaller ones for that
