PeekaBruce (Mother Bruce Series)

This is such a cute little story. My toddler loves to find Bruce hiding on each page. The book came in new condition. The pages were very stuck together, but after I pulled them apart they were fine.

i buy a LOT of books for my young grandsons and i have to admit this is a great book for both my 1 year old and 2 year old. they both have a copy because they LOVE the anticipation of finding bruce and knowing he will be where he is when you turn the page. the book has such deep, rich colors that it is visually pieasing. and bruce the bear is adorable with his variety of facial expressions and body language. the book also offers the opportunity to learn prepositions (Behind, On, Under, Beside . . .) my 1 year old grandson has been "reading this book to himself" for several months now and is delighted each time he finds bruce. my 2 year old grandson actually recites the entire book to himself. most of the time both boys want to be read to, but this is a book they track down so they can go sit by themselves and read during those times no one is able to sit with them to read. (and believe me, they get a LOT of time each day on a lap with someone reading a stack of books to them).

My ten month old son loves this book so much, and I enjoy reading it to him. He cackles with glee when he spots it on the shelf and we read it over and over and over and he laughs on each page. He seems to love the grumpy looking bear and he points at the bear on every page. I never knew he would love a book so much at this age, and I am so happy that he loves reading this book so much!!! Beautiful art and a wonderful fun little story about silly geese chasing a bear. I am just sad this is the only board book in the series, because I would buy all of them right now if they were available in board book versions!

Stories are basic and keep little minds engaged. Illustrations are charming. The fun is pointing out where Bruce hides. One of our favorite reads.

For kids that love peek a boo and this book is awesome. It's obvious where it is, but the kids love it and they continual ask to read it night after night.

My 18 mo loves this book because she is currently into hide and seek. I enjoy the illustrations.

This is a lovely board book written to be read to a preschooler or to one just learning to read. It is written from the point of view of one of his mice friends but stays true to the Bruce we have come to know and love. This book will be donated to St. Joseph’s School in Chehalis, WA.

My daughter loves to hunt for the tiny bits of Bruce you can see when he’s hiding. It makes us both giggle, and incorporates her favorite game, a win/win!

This was a gift and is part of a series. My grandkids love it.
